I am attempting to call a movie clip and when that movie is called the other buttons in the frame are deactivated. I got that part correct.
However, the problem starts when I close the movie clip; the buttons that I deactivated are not activated (see function reActivateButtons). I am not doing something correctly. There is code in two places, on the frame and on the frame in the movie clip that is called. Please see the code.
CODE ON THE MAIN TIMELINE
//Activates the buttons from the pop-up screens when the movieclip is closed.;
//Credits_bnt.mouseEnabled = true;
goLongA_bnt.mouseEnabled = true;
goLongE_bnt.mouseEnabled = true;
goLongI_bnt.mouseEnabled = true;
goLongO_bnt.mouseEnabled = true;
goLongU_bnt.mouseEnabled = true;
//Calls the movie clip and deactivates the buttons.
if (event.target == Credits_bnt)
//Credits_bnt.mouseEnabled = false;
goLongA_bnt.mouseEnabled = false;
goLongE_bnt.mouseEnabled = false;
goLongI_bnt.mouseEnabled = false;
goLongO_bnt.mouseEnabled = false;
goLongU_bnt.mouseEnabled = false;
CODE INSIDE THE MOVIE CLIP: Code in the movie clip that is being called. I set up a dispatch to activate the function ReActivateMainButtons.
function closeCreditPopupScreen (event:MouseEvent):void
Question: How do I reactivate those buttons that have been deactivated?
