continuous hanging

I'm editing some templates in a fw1 project where the templates are components with a mix of tags and cfscript. Every now and again builder hangs with the screen partially greyed out and a rotating 'wait' circle. From the looks of it, the hang happens mostly (always?) on a template called security.cfc. It is also possible that it is hanging when I select a variable or scope to copy. I have to watch my behavior a few times to see if this is the case.

 

Has anyone else seen this behavior and if so, have you found a solution?

 

FWI - I'm using the latest build.
