Trouble with HDMI cables & Intensity Pro card.

I am trying to capture the output of a DSLR in live view, or memory mode to my PC using the Intensity Pro and a Mini to regular HDMI cable.

 

I've tried 2 different cables. One made by Canon, and one made by another manufacturer.

 

Going from the camera to the HDMI input on my monitor works, so I know the cables work, but the Decklink card doesn't seem to.

 

Any suggestions? I'm using the latest drivers, and software.

 

I could really use your assistance.

    Have you set the HDMI as the input in the BM control panel?

    Yes, I did.

     

    Turns out that my DSLR was putting out signals through the HDMI connector in 2 different resolutions. One was 1080i 60, while the menus came out as 720p 60.

     

    I spent 30 minutes on the telephone with BlackMagic tech support, then another 12 minutes working out the settings.

     

    Sure wish these things came with decent manuals.
