The content in your page is inside a wrapper that has a fixed width and auto left/right margin to center it.
Take your footer out of the wrapper and it will fill the width of the browser.
If you want to center the footer content then you could put it in a div and give it the same width as the wrapper and the same thing with margin: 0 auto:
