Creating 3D content using Vanishing Point ground planes

Apr 10, 2012 8:27 AM

The 3D modelling tools have undergone a huge enhancement in CS6, with a much more hands-on approach making the process of making models that much easier.

One of the great new features is the ability to define a ground plane in the Vanishing Point filter, and then to use that as the Ground Plane for 3D models. Once you add reflections and shadows, you can create realistic-looking scenes in minutes.

I'm happy to share details on how this is all achieved, if you haven't figured it out for yourself.
