We are submitting a Newsstand viewer app with a free magazine subscription. One of the requirements for submission to the App Store is an URL that points to the publisher's privacy policy. I have been searching for a sample policy, or guidelines for creating such a policy, to share with my client, but haven't had any luck. The iTunes Connect Developer Guide specifies only that one is required. Can anyone offer any guidance here?

FWIW, here's the one I slapped together for a Newsstand app: http://nwscenery.wordpress.com/2011/10/12/subscription-policy/
Bob,
The client wrote a generic subscription policy (more or less along the same lines as yours) but no luck. Apple has rejected the app again for not having a proper Privacy Policy URL. The reviewers cited section 3.12 of the approval guidelines:
3.12 Apps should have all included URLs fully functional when you submit it for review, such as support and privacy policy URLs
... but I think section 17.1 also applies:
17.1 Apps cannot transmit data about a user without obtaining the user's prior permission and providing the user with access to information about how and where the data will be used
Has anyone successfully uploaded a completely free, Newsstand-based subscription app to the Apple Store? If so, can you please provide a link to your privacy policy? I'd like to fix this.
