I have followed the help intructions: Adobe Reader preferences>Internet> Web Browser Options. But the 'Display PDF in browser usng' box is not highlighted (i.e. it is selected but cannot be used).
This has happened since I downloaded the latest Reader update to 10.1.3
Managed to find an answer here:
http://forums.adobe.com/message/4326160#4326160#4326160
although it didn't quite work in the same manner for me (the 32 bit mode was unchecked, so I checked and unchecked it again).
What is also new is that the .pdf cannot be saved through Safari but can by the .pdf save icon.
Thanks to Shashi!
Correct AnswerRe: Adobe 10.1.3 fails to open pdf in Safari 5.1.5
Hi David,
Please note that if you are using OS X 10.6.x, then you'll need to run Safari in 64Bit mode. You can do the same by
1. Go to Applications, Command+Click on Safari to open the Context menu.
2. Now click on Get Info
3. From the new window that appears, Uncheck "Open in 32-bit mode".
This is because on OS X 10.6.8, Safari 5.1 in 32-bit mode is not supported. Refer to release notes for more details about systems requirements changes.
If above information was not helpful,
Please let us know your OS version and whether this issue happens with all PDF files or with any specific file?
Also try to "Reload" the PDF in safari when grey window appears by pressing "Command + R"?

Have the same problem, whether I use Safari or Mozilla.

Tried opening pdf files using my old Dell and Mozilla....no problem ther
So problem is how Adobe communicates with MAC. I bought the Adobe XPRO for Mac just a few months ago. And it woked fine except for the last few days. Still no resolution.
