I installed ADE Preview 1.8.2 (Mac) and it does see my Nook, but not my Sony PRS-T1. Is there some workaround (such as: use Windows, uninstall Reader app, etc.)?
This model is listed on the 'supported devices' page.
I also have this problem, but have found 2 solutions. After you download using ADE, open either Sony Reader for PC or Calibre (calibre.com). Your downloaded book will be in a folder "My Digital Editions" probably in your Documents folder. Import the content into your program of choice and then move to your T1. Hope this helps.
Thanks, I wanted to do an experiment to see if ADE could put a B&N book on the Sony and put whatever magic bits there so that Sony will open it. So neither of those workarounds will suffice since all they are doing is copying the file over.
For non B&N DRM I can use Reader to sync, or move it myself in the file system (or put it in dropbox and download over wifi).
Hi Tom Semple,
If you activate your two devices with same account (i.e. Adobe ID), you may transfer your purchased book freely (if permission allows). There is a known issue that ADE still cannot access it with Reader software for Mac installed (Reader for PC works). But you still can try to copy books manually.
Good luck!
