When I import images into a folder that I designate in the import dialog, the folder ends up above the top-most folder in the Folders Panel. When I try to move it to where it belongs, there is an error message that the folder already exists, and the folder does exist in its proper place when viewed with Windows Explorer. Is there a way to solve this problem during import?
Lee,
I found that it is necessary to open the folder that I set as the target, and then click the "Select Folder" button in the import dialog. After doing this, the folder ends up where I want it. I did not have this problem with the hundreds of folders that I imported into LR 1-3, so it seems that this is a new behavior of LR4. Adding to the confusion is the fact that other Windows programs will not select the folder if it is open.
Thank you for helping.
