Filled text field, uncheck default checkbox

I have seen a lot of question and scripts about when a checkbox is checked, then the text field copies the value from the checkbox.

What I am trying to do is the opposite, i.e. if a text field is empty the default checkbox is checked; but if the text field is filled with anything, the check in the checkbox disappears. Could anyone help with the scripts?

Let's say the check-box is named "Check Box1". Enter this code into the text field's custom validation event:

this.getField("Check Box1").checkThisBox(0, event.value=="");
