Can i use Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 (trial) with DVD Architect Studio 5.0?

Hi,

 

Going to download the trial version of Premiere Pro CS5 and After effects. I found out that their is no trial of the Adobe Encore so if i made a video could i use DVD Architect Studio 5.0 to do what Encore would of done if their was a trial version. Please say if there is anything out there that is better than DVD Architect Studio 5.0.

    If you export a suitable file from Premiere..you will be able to use your other application to author and burn a dvd.

     

    You wont be able to dynamic link to it as you would be able to do with Encore.

    Do you mean in video file format by "suitable file"?

    LIke a "mpeg2dvd"  file if that is what your other application can work with.  ( Its pretty standard).

    I use DVDAS 4.5 with PPro CS5.5.

    Just do as suggested and output a mpeg2dvd (assuming you are burning to dvd) and it will work fine.

    Did someone try the same thing with HD video? 'coz when I tried to import mpeg4 video to DVDA it always failed...

    HD video goes onto Blu-ray, not DVD.  So if the software isn't able to create Blu-rays, I can understand why it fails to import HD video.

    by DVDA I meant DVD Architect, sorry about that...

    DVDAS 5.0 supports Blu-ray.

    You don't use mpeg2dvd for that.

     

    I have DVDAS 4.5 and don't do Blu-ray, so I'm not sure what to export from PPro.

    finally I got it to work!

    So if anyone has troubles with importing .m4v files into DVD Architect,

    export settings in premiere should be changed from "Main profile" instead

    of "High".

     

    it seems that it imports only the audio to timeline and no video coming with. Now, when i try to set video track by the m4v file, popup message says that the selected file is not of the required type.

    anyone knows what export settings should I use?

     

    so change .m4v to mp4 and import. it works now.

    what export settings should I use?

     

    For Blu-ray, you can choose something in the H.264 Blu-ray category, or the MPEG2 Blu-ray category.  Both create Blu-ray compliant output (assuming you don't alter the default settings beyond specs).

     

    If they don't work, then something is wronng with DVD Architect.
