How to add links in Spry Content Slideshow Wanderlust

I am very new to the whole web design/coding thing so maybe this is something simple that I am just completely missing.  But, this widget has buttons buildt in however i cannot figure out how to make them work.  Like adding links to them and making them clickable.  Can anyone help me please?
