Error: Can't install CS6 PS , Exit Code:6, Error: DW050

Hey i'm running an mac(intel) with OS x 10.7 Lion on it.

Everytime I tryed to install CS 6 Photoshop the installer froze.

 

I cleaned my mac with the cs cleaner tool and tryed to install Photoshop in security mode but following error occurred:

 

 

Exit Code: 6

Please see specific errors and warnings below for troubleshooting. For example,  ERROR: DW050 ...

    Try following the below mentioned steps:

     

    1) Reboot your system

    2) Re-download the installer, Unzip the installer using winzip or winrar

    3) Run the the set-up.exe by using clicking on the right mouse button and choosing Run As Administrator.

     

    If that doesn't work -- come back here to the forums and I'll get more engineers involved with this.

    On Windows 7, 64 bit, with the Beta 64 bit version of Photoshop CS6...

     

    I got this error after installation (20th of April):

     

    ERROR: DW050: The following payload errors were found during install:

    ERROR: DW050:  - Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x64): Install failed

    ERROR: DW050:  - Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86): Install failed

    ERROR: DW050:  - Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64): Install failed

    ERROR: DW050:  - Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86): Install failed

     

    I followed the advice to run the set-up.ex "as admin" - but same problem.

    If I load these packages from Microsoft - the installation is interrupted at once with a certificate-error.

     

    This problem (I guess) causes the following error message to promt again and again while I wirte this: "CS6 Servide Manager.exe: The program could not start correctly (0xc000007b), Click Ok to close the program."

    21st of April:

    ..and this new error is received, even before CS6 is started on the computer: "CS6 Service Manager.exe: The program cannot be started, as MSVCP100.dll is missing on the computer. Try to reinstall to solve the problem."

    (have tried to reinstall - same problem).

     

    These problems are severe, as they are interrupting all tests and (even the writing in this forum, i.e. the message returns each 10th-30th second demanding an OK to be cleared).

    Hi Eigil,

     

    It seems Microsoft VC redist package was corrupted on your system.

     

    This is a third part issues, Please install it from the following link:

    http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=15 336

    http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=29

     

    Please re-install Ps after installing these packages and running Windows Update..

     

    Do let us know if you still face any issue.

    Sorry guys,

    but i dont use microsoft. I use mac os x lion (10.7).

     

    So do you have any ideas?

    Hi Ashutosh,

     

    Sorry for the late answer - I have been busy.

     

    I have lost faith in this beta version, so I have not made a reinstall - after I had to recover my computer entirely. Not CS6's fault, but this and that harmed the Win registry so badly, that at last everything was "forbidden" and corrupted.

    I am looking forward to a more stabil version - i.e. not a beta ;O)

    Sorry to be such a chicken, but my business data are more important to me.

    Buffalo_tom,

     

    There have been different resolutions for different exit code errors -- so if you're having one -- start a separate discussion thread and we'll be able to work with you on it.
