Is it possible to "invert" the shift-snap function?

Hi:

I was just wondering if it were possible to have the SHIFT-SNAP functionality in AE work in the opposite manner?  That is, I would like it so it ALWAYS SNAPS, but does NOT snap when holding down SHIFT.  I have an NLE I use that works in the opposite way (SNAPS by default, but holding down shift and it does not snap) and my muscle memory gets massively confused, which naturally leads to errors and frustration.  I can invert it in my NLE, but only partially ... I can turn off snapping and then SHIFT will cause it to SNAP, but only when timeline scrubing and not for other things unfortunately.

Thanks for insight, input, adive anyone can offer.

Best,

Tim

I have never looked, but you may find slapping in the text that is the user preferences. Try opening in a text editor and look for that.

If it's not there, I believe you are out of luck.

Don't think so. Modifier keys are usually hard-wired, but feel free to investigate the prefs file as Rick suggested.
