When I import a video, it is automatically broken up into clips. How do I import without being broken up into clips?
The video I am importing is from a DVD that was created by transferring old 8mm movies to the DVD. In Organizer, under FILE, GET PHOTOS AND VIDEO, FROM FILES AND FOLDERS.
I am using Premiere Elements 10.
I think I need to find an explanation of how clips are created in the first place. I've been searching but so far cannot find an answer.
When you launch Organizer, a process named ElementsAutoAnalyzer.exe, starts running, its function is to automatically analyze clips and put tags to it, and it also does 'scene detect'. In this process, after auto-analyzing clips, if the clip contains different scenes(scenes separated by black frames), then it shows the differnt scens the clip is composed of.
This might be the case with you.
So, you can try killing the process ElementsAutoAnalyzer.exe, from Task manager, before importing your videos. Anyways, i dont think that splitted clips, in your case, will do any harm or will reduce any functionality.
