Please help asap! The files have been uploaded to CS Review and now when you login they're all gone.
Also, the main login used for uploading which we do pay for won't load the page.
Thank you!
The availability of CS Review has ended: http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/cslive.html
CS Review was never a pay service, just Acrobat.com of which CS Review was a part.
Kengrice,
I can understand if Adobe wants to shut down a non-profitable service. However, this was a complete surprise to our business. We have looked back through our emails and we do not have, nor can find any notifications or reminders that this service would be discontinued.
If we would have known the service was shutting down we would have exported all the review comments out of the system prior to it being shut down.
At this point, we have lost the review comments from over 10 different clients on active projects. How do we go about retrieve those comments/reviews? An exported PDF with the review comments would be fine. I just want to avoid having to explain to our clients that they must re-review and re-create all the work they have done because Adobe shut down the review service without any notification to us.
At this point, a paid solution would be fine. Completely lost work is not.
Looking forward to your advise.
-Mike
I think this is really sad news. And remarkably that you just cut us, and our clients, off without the usual steps of notice. I have been in contact with your support where no one had a clue that CS Live is closed either! I strongly suggest that you bring it (and all lost reviews) back. Make it a paid service if that’s what’s is about.
I just wanted to provide an update to what is going on with our missing CS Reviews.
Quick Summary: Adobe shut down the Adobe CS Review service. The only notification to users was through a forum post. We are in contact with support trying to retrieve our clients' review comments.
Full Story:
I spent three hours this morning calling into Adobe support several times until I found a rep who actually took the time to dig in and find out what was going on with Adobe CS Review (thanks Michael!). His answer was "Sorry, the Adobe CS Review service has been taken offline and is no longer available, with or without a paid subscription to Acrobat.com." He was not able do anything.
I asked to be escalated to the customer support manager to see what could be done. Michael's manager, Chris promptly called me back and we discussed the issues at hand.
Here's a quick summary of our call:
Where we are now:
What we are hoping for:
I'll provide another update as soon as I get to the next step.
Thanks again to Michael and Chris for helping us out with this. We really appreciate your effort and understanding!

This is just crazy. I too, and clients are screwed. I can understand a service being discontinued, but WITHOUT NOTICE?? This is a professional service for professionals, and to simply end it without notice is unprofessional and embarassing to my clients.
And, some may say it was not a pay service, but it was. The only reason I ever paid for Acrobat.com was because of CS Review. NO OTHER REASON. In fact, until today when I discovered all my video clips were missing, I never knew there was a difference. I simply used CS Review and nothing else from the Acrobat site.
We apologize to any users who may have missed the communication regarding the discontinuation of Adobe CS Review as of April 12, 2012.
For anyone who was unable to export their review content in advance of the discontinuance, we would like to provide you with assistance in retrieving that information. Simply send a message to csreview_feedback@adobe.com before June 1st, 2012, including the Adobe ID (email address) you used to sign to CS Review. In return we will export your reviews as a PDF and send you a downloadable archive via Adobe SendNow. You can expect to receive this archive within 72 hours, but it could take longer based on volume of requests.
Amazing. We have relied heavily on this service since it was rolled out, and as others have stated, it was the only reason we paid for a "premium" acrobat.com subscription. You can still upload, comment, and view reviews from the CSReview panel in InDesign. You can also view reviews that have never been accessed. These facts made us believe this was a temporary bug, and not a discontinuation of the service. No one in tech support was able to answer this for 4 weeks, initially accusing me of deleting the files myself, or sharing the password with a malicious user who deleted every review. Adobe's communication on this was terrible, and not what I would expect from them.
That being said, my studio is very interested in remaining paperless for routing and approvals. What is everyone doing to replace the service? Will Adobe offer something as part of Creative Cloud?
Since the death of CS review, I started using DropBox and LOVE it. Yes, it does not offer clients the ability to leave comments directly on video frames, but it is FANTASTIC for sharing. Just drop the video clip into the folder on your desktop, and it automatically uploades. You can then give your client a link to view it in a player, or simply download the video. 5 gig is free!
