error in copy/paste frames

Hello,

 

Im having problems with copy and paste FRAMES. i want to copy  some frames so i can put it in a movieclip, i clicked from start frame to last frame(selecting all frames) , pressed right click and "copy frames", but when i copy it to a New File it doesnt work, it just copy 1 frame and 1 layer only, i think its a bug or something because there is no error displayed.

    Are you pasting these copied frames into a blank space in the new movieclip or are you trying to insert the copied frames into a space in the movieclip that is populated with content? If its the first option, then the copied frames should paste into the open space in the movieclip.

    I just realized of my error. I was trying to copy to a new symbol, but without selecting the frame, since it was a new frame, i tried to copy directly to the stage but without selecting THE blank frame itself, Thank Rob,
