drop-down hotspots in snippet (.hts file) and mozilla firefox

Apr 24, 2012 5:51 AM

Hello everyone

I use RH 9 and the output is Webhelp.

I've created snippets with drop-down hotspots inside. These snippets are then included in HTML pages.

After help generation, the drop-down hotspots are working with IE but not with Mozilla (some of them are working but a few only).

Some are working in some HTML pages but not in another pages using the same snippet.

Is DHTML compatible with Mozilla Firefox ?

    Hi,

Yes, Dropdowns are compatible with Firefox. DHTML effects other than dropdown/expandspot/popup may not work however. Do you use any other events?

Is this project upgraded from a lower version of RH? If so, make a backup of your project and run Tools > Update DHTML effects in topics.

    Greet,

    Willam

    Hmm,

    Please check the following threads:

I don't think i'tll solve the dropdown problem, but it may help with the baggage file warning. Also check that the file rhbag.apj is available in your project root.

For the dropdowns: Can you post the HTML of a snippet so we can see what's going on? Try the FireBug extension for firefox. Do you receive any errors in the console of Firebug when you click a dropdown? Alternatively, can you share the project with me so I can take a look in the FF console? You can PM me for my e-mail.

    Greet,

Can you paste the HTML using the browser? You snippet doesn't come through correctly in the replied e-mail.

    Hi,

Just go to the forum site, in the top left corner, click Log in. In your thread click reply and paste the HTML in the message area.

Sorry, Florence, you can’t attach files to posts on the forum – they get stripped off.
