CS 6.0 Master Collection?

Apr 25, 2012 7:11 AM

Adobe Muse looks super cool but it is not even part of the CS 6.0 Master Colletion. It is part of the cloud but I think that sucks. I want it in the Master Collection. I also noticed there is no Flash Catalyst anymore in the new CS 6.0 Master Collection.  I will be the first to admit Muse might make Flash Cataylst obsolete but if that is the case then it should be included in the CS 6.0 Master Collection. I think Onlocation has been replaced by Prelude. I am OK with that but I would rather have Muse than Speed Grade. I think it is OK for Adobe to stop develpment of software if it is being reaplced by something better. I think Muse may make Dreamweaver and Flash Builder obsolete. I think Adobe should weed out their softwre titles but Muse should be in the Master Collection. I would have rather seen Captivate added to the CS 6.0 Master Collection than Speed Grade.

There is no way on earth that Muse will replace Dreamweaver. That won't happen until MS Publisher replaces InDesign.

If you want Muse, you'll have to subscribe. I believe it will be available stand alone.

What Bob said. Muse is cloud-only as is Edge, Shadow and some other web and mobile stuff. If you're really into web design, that feels quite natural and consequently a subscription would be the best choice. I really don't see the problem with that, given that the web changes every month and you actually might want a web app to follow all these latest trends by  updating itself frequently and/or Adobe adding more support on their end to facilitate publishing of web content...

AFAIK it is Creative Cloud only. I was told so in my briefings. Whether or not there are any last minute changes, is up to Adobe, but I doubt they would do so on such short notice when they already are packaging and preparing shipment for physical upgrades. Perhaps it wil lbe avialable as a downloadable option later...
