I have a PC and PhotoShop Extended. I alt-click to sample with the stamp, but then what? The layer I want to edit has been selected, but nothing happens when I click and drag after sampling. Should I be using another tool to do that? The instructions don't say.
(I read something on the Mac version of this question about making sure the stamp isn't "behind". If that setting is in Windows, then I need to know where it is.)
I've been to the Help sections on this, and either don't find information other than "you can do x" (obviously, we all know this or we wouldn't be going there for how-to), or the directions stop short.
Along these lines, I also need to know how to change colors. "Suddenly", the eraser turned black, and now I've got a long black line on my otherwise white background that I can't get rid of. I wish there was a color palette to pick from like on Illustrator and InDesign. It would be so simple.
But the clone stamp is first.
