Hi
I recently passed the Photoshop and Illustrator CS5 ACE exams, and have had ACI status for several years. I was wondering if anyone on this forum had any comments about the supposed benefits of any of this. Perhaps I'm missing something, but:
a. The Adobe partner portal and certification pages seem to contain no useful resources or information - just 'overviews'.
b. There do not appear to be any listings of certified experts or instructors available to the public, only certified training centers.
c. I attempted to contact Adobe several months ago with regards to 'evaluating pre-release software' (which is mentioned as a benefit), and got nowhere at all.
d. There don't appear to be any staff at Adobe who actually deal directly with certification.
I understand perfectly that passing exams is useful from a personal perspective, and may also be of interest to prospective clients/employers, however I would expect Adobe to put more resources into this, particularly as we often end up acting as unpaid 'evangelists' for their products.

Hi Paul,
I can answer a couple of your questions:
b. Yep true, no public listings other than the list of Acrobat ACE's put together by acrobatusers.com
http://acrobatusers.com/ace-experts
d. There is a small team made up of just a couple of people dedicated to certification.
