Good Morning,

I want to convert a layout made with regular DIV (not AP div) tags to a layout as table.

Macromedia Dreamweaver was able to do so, can it be done with Adove Dw CS5?, How?

Also it seems in the past you could move automatically external CSS to inline, can it be done with Adove Dw CS5?

Regards,

    G'day George,

Interesting concept when you consider that about 8 or 9 years ago I went from tables to CSS, externalising same to keep the development separate from the design.

Many articles have been devoted to change from table to tableless as per http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/table_to_css_pt1.html.

This does not mean that tables should not be used. In fact when I have a repeating data structure, I will often use a table.

Your question goes against the flow.

As far as the CSS is concerned, DW does offer a way to externalise the CSS, but not the other way round. This is in keeping with the general trend.

The part that interests me most is why you would want to go the way that you have stipulated.

No magic buttons for this, I'm afraid.  But this article may interest you...
