According to Adobe, I should be able to manage and republish my temporary website until I get it looking the way I want it to, right?
However, after opening the site again in muse (JUST published the site last night), the 'manage' menu was unavailable - greyed out, and also got the 'unknown authentication error' when attempting just to republish. What is going on??? Could it be that i'm not allowed to do so without upgrading? AND I had to sign in with a different ID other than my adobe one in order to get the site to publish the first time, and now I cant figure out how to sign in with the adobe ID to see if that even fixes anything.
I want to make the site more permanent, but what good is upgrading if i'm never able to update the site I plan on paying for? Also fear that Business Catalyst is going to give me just as much technical difficulty as muse does. This is only a simple portfolio website.
Sorry for the rant, but can anyone help?
Regarding the "Unknown Authentication Error", refer to the thread below.

The "Manage" button won't be available until you are signed in to your account within Muse and have a site uploaded already to Manage. Clicking on the Manage button takes you to the BC Admin panel.
We also have a FAQ page setup that details about Adobe ID integration related issues.
Would you also be able to send the email address that was impacted to muse-support@adobe.com (with the subject Attn: James)?
That will allow us to check server logs to see if this is an issue with the login being maintained.
Thanks,
James
webdesignbybrent, a couple questions to clarify the situation.
1) You can (and have) used the Publish feature to successfully Publish and view your site on a xxxx.businesscatalyst.com temporary site?
2) Immediately after Publishing, the Manage button is not enabled?
If a site is created, saved, published to BC and then closed without saving, the .muse file won't have any record of having been published or where it was published to. This is one case where opening a .muse file for a previously published site would show the Manage button as disabled. If this is the situation, the fix is to Publish again and choose the site you published to the first time in the "Options" section of the Publish dialog. Then after publishing be sure to save your .muse file. From then on your .muse file will have a record of where the site was published to and Manage should be enabled.
