Using https in Data/Service url causes "Enter a valid url"

Whenever I use https in a url in Flash Builder's Data/Services wizard I get the error "enter a valid url" and the Finish button is disabled. I can invoke the service and get a result, but the error remains and Finish remains disabled. As soon as I change it to http it recognises the url. I found that entering something like kjhgguijjhg for the url and invoking it produces a Not Found error, but enables the Finish button. Does anyone know what could cause this?
