Okay, I got a new system because of such poor performance on my old one.
New specs are:
CPU: Intel i7 Core 3930K overclocked to 4.2GHz
MB: ASUS P9X79 Deluxe
GC: Nvidia GXT580
RAM: 32GB RAM
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
In a test, I put a 5-minute clip of a talking head on the timeline. Applied a "look" Magic Bullet Looks and attempted to render the video to a Vimeo-suitabel file. Estiamted time was 41 minutes.
This that the norm? Should/could it be less? Would turning on hyper-threading help? What would the best way to "optimize" this system?
TIA!
