Approval Status of Adobe Content Viewers

To help keep folks informed of the state of the Adobe Content Viewer submission to various app stores I thought I'd keep one post updated with the details.

Marketplace	Submitted	Status
Apple App Store (iOS)	Monday, April 30th	Approved
Google Marketplace (Android)	Tuesday, May 1st	Approved
Amazon Marketplace for Android (Kindle Fire)	Tuesday, May 1st	Approved

As the status changes I'll edit this post.

I need something up on Adobe Content Viewer by 6:30pm Eastern Time today. Is there anyway I am going to be able to make this happen?

For about the thousandth time. Nobody here knows what Apple is doing or how long it will take to approve the viewer.

Do not update the tools to v20 if need to use the Adobe Content Viewer.

Sorry as you can clearly tell I am new to this. I already updated because the tools because it seemed mandatory as I couldn't connect to folio producer without it. Is there any way I can go back to a previous version of the tools? Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

The only thing mandatory is the Folio Builder, not the tools. There are links on this page to the tools archives: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/digitalpubsuite/using/WS67cb9e293e2f1f60-2 1ba9a4512e5e5e0b8d-7ffe.html

Could it be, that you are still on the v18 for the Folio Producer Tools (Overlay Creator panel)?

We received a notice from Apple today that they need additional time to complete the review of the v20 Adobe Content Viewer. This isn't unusual, it has happened on many prior approval rounds for the viewer.

I have updated the table in the original message appropriately.

Amazon approved the Content Viewer today and it is now available on Kindle Fire.

So how are we supposed to deploy and support our 10,000 users who have content viewer on their PB?
Would we need to downgrade our folio producer when creating content every time?

If you still want to develop content for the Playbook then yes, you'll have to use the last version of tools that created content for those devices. I believe that was v18.

Uninstall the folio producer tools (not the folio builder panel) from your machine, and then install the appropriate version from our website. You'll need v17, not v18 (I had the version wrong in my earlier post).

v17 is the release dated 11/15/2011. Mac download loaction: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/collection.jsp?collID=4&platfor m=Macintosh. Windows download location: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/collection.jsp?collID=4&platfor m=Windows.

The iOS version was just approved by Apple. You can expect to see it update in the store in the next couple of hours.
