file access-restriction: can I set a one-time-access on a pdf file

May 3, 2012 4:11 PM

As a non-expert I would like to know if it's possible to set a limit to the number of times a PDF file can be opened?

Thank you and regards.

Not with PDF all by itself. However, there are “add-ons”/extensions to the PDF language and to viewer such as Acrobat/Reader that enable this.

Your goal does not make sense.

This is because I can make as many copies of a pdf file as I want and open each once and get multiple accesses to the file content.

If you find this helpful, do not forget to thank me.
