Can anyone help me with the steps > I am using illustrator CS4

    Probably a combina tion of envelope distorts and gradient mesh and perhaps some simple paths that were featered or had outer glows applied

     

    this is crude but you get the idea. Read about gradient meshes and envelope distorts and feather and outer glow effecs

    Steps?

     

    This would require a small pamphlet to describe all the steps.

     

    As Wade posted, learn Gradient Meshes and blends. Those are the main factors.
