HTML and DPS

So, I was wondering how the html import as an article into Adobe DPS works. Most examples that I have found are just images and simple code thrown

togther, to make an article. Can you design basically a website and import the html and css and the resources into DPS as an article? Reason I ask is, there

are some things that I might want to put into my DPS article but currently DPS is lacking the area of effects and animaions.

    Nowadays, HTML rendering is slow and not fully compliant in DPS.

     

    I make videos but unfortunately it has to be H264 so no transparency.

     

    I made the whole cover in video and that's it.

    Just use Dreamweaver the same way you would to design a website.

     

     

     

    The article does take a second or two to load but you can do so much with it that it may be an appropriate choice depending upon what you want to do.

    Another question along the same lines, will dps support javascript and or jquery?

    It supports it in the sense that it uses MobileSafari for HTML articles and webviews. So if it works in MobileSafari (jquery and js do), it will work enveloped in a dps viewer, with the exception of trying to use "_self" targets for the viewport window, and probably a couple of other small details.

    When you want to test HTML articles or overlays for iOS, first make sure that it works on mobile Safari. If it doesn't, it won't work in DPS. Then test it in a folio to confirm that it works.

    Just create the HTML article and add it to the folio.

     

     

     

    It should all work nicely.

     

     

     

    If you’d like you can also use the web content overlay to link to an html file…in this case make sure that it’s in its own folder.
