Somebody Asked this before But I don't feel this was really answered

I'm trying to import XDCAM EX 1080i60 video into Premiere Pro CS5, but I keep getting an error message that says "codec missing or unavailable". I've tried completely uninstalling and then reinstalling Premiere Pro. I tried opening the video without updating Premiere, and when that didn't work I tried updating it and then opening the video. But it still did not work. Does anyone have any another ideas for how to fix this problem?

P.S. Videos in other formats import okay. This format seems to be the only one having problems.

I have the same issue...

I have CS5 (yeah I know it's old) windows 7-64bit, it was filmed with a sony cam and it's a shame but it was exported from FCP so they are mov files. Is there any solutions to this? At one point in the disscussion someone said something about 3rd party codecs, could that be it? Has anyone found a solution to this? Would I have to convert everything?

I actually know It's not the files because they were read on a Mac with CS5.5.
