CS6; Error msg; "Some of the components..."

I'm getting an error message that says "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory; please reinstall the application."  I did that, and got two instances of PS-CS6 on my computer.  ???  HOW do you reinstall? (Which was never explained)...  and WHY am I getting that error message?  It comes up as I double-click on an image in Bridge... from my MacBook pro (v8,2) w/ 16 gigs of ram.

    Something is wrong with your install, and files are missing.

     

    You should have been able to just re-run the installer and update/fix the current install.

     

    Getting 2 copies means that one of them got moved somehow (otherwise it would have installed in the same place).
