How can I move something from a Meeting Folder to a Content Folder?

I have accidentally Moved a meeting recording into the Meetings folder. Now I am unable to move it to the content folder where I need to put it.

Is there a way to fix this?

There is Powerpoint file and I as the guest can read several slides.

I have only a meeting room with a monthly license.

Is it possible to explain to a guest inside my meeting room how he can use and test the room before the meeting starts??

Or do I need another license?

I am exploring the use of Adobe Connect for training purposes. The trainings are focused on training people (of max 10 participants per training) in the use of software tools (both web and mobile devices). After reading through the product features I have the following questions:

Screensharing

I see that the Adobe Connect tool supports screensharing. I was wondering whether that includes the possibility for the trainer to go in to participants' screens to see how/what they are doing (which buttons they are clicking, etc). I am assuming that it is possible to show anything via screensharing? (e.g. can we go online and show stuff there?)

Communication/chat feature

Does the tool offer a communication possibility? Is it possible for participants to talk out loud during an online training? Or is that (only) possible via a chat functionality?

Not sure where to post this but can someone please tell me how to turn off the music in my Connect Room?

Definitions of status for notifications

I want to send a notification to students who have been active in a curriculum to let them know there's going to be a new version coming out soon, but I can't find who gets included in the various status categories.

The curriculum only has one completion requirement (an exam), so I don't care if you have attempted and failed the exam or have only been working in other lessons but have not yet attempted the exam. What I don't want to do is send the notification to enrollees who have never even opened the curriculum.

Does " Enrollees who have failed or not completed the curriculum." include those who are enrolled but have never started (they clearly haven't completed it) or only those who have at least opened the curriculum (my target)?

Hi, I have a regular license of Adobe Connect Name Host 100 Participants, It's work excellent for meetings.

I want to know if I buy one license of CONNECT TRAINING it's going to work in my current license of Adobe Connect , how many students can enroll my training content? need to buy more licenses? I want to use for on demand and live training.

This is my Admin page one Rep can do recording and that recording will be available for him as well as Admin also.

We create courses for Adobe Connect using Presenter. We are trying to import video into the courses, but have been told the maximum length of a video is 4 minutes. Our 10 minute videos cause the screen to freeze. Is there a limit on the size of imported videos?

Adobe Connect UAC Pop Up Problems - Blocks Clicking

We use Adobe Connect to trouble shoot problems with our end users.

The biggest problem I have is with pop ups from Windows UAC wanting to allow an action. We can't click on those through Adobe Connect like you can with normal remote control software. Also, the popup doesn't even show up. On the controller's end is just a black blank screen. The only reason we know that the Allow/Deny screen is coming up is because we've had users on the phone tell us when it prompts them.

If it was just getting past that screen, that'd be fine. We could warn the user to just click allow on those popups and be done with it. But it doesn't stop there. You can't interact with any window that involve the aforementioned UAC popup protection.

Perfect example: We need to delete something out of the registry. When opening regedit a UAC popup comes up asking if we want to allow. They click yes and you lose control over the mouse while that program is up. If they user minimized regedit, then you regain control. If you restore the window you lose control again.

We don't want to walk users through the registry. It just takes them deleting one wrong key to mess up a bunch of stuff. It's actually already happened once and the end user ended up having to reformat his computer because of it.

Is Connect intentionally designed to work this way?
If not, is this a known issue?
Is there a way around it?

I did a fair share of searching/googling and was unable to find any answers. If this has been answered already, please point me to the right post and I apologize for creating an unnecessary extra thread.

I can successfully log in, but when I select my classroom as a host the classroom opens but when I try to do anything at all I have a total system lock up/hang up. I then have to manually shut down and start again. This happens all the time in both Chrome and Firefox. I use Flashplayer 12.0.0.77, add-in version 11.9.959.0 and the mostup to date plug in. I deinstalled and reinstalled everthing this morning. Same problem. I tried IE but it wants me to install things that are already installed, but that is another story. I am on Windows 7 and everything is up to date. Did a virus and malware check - nothing popped up.

It started a week ago.

Have a problmen from yesterday 26 march.

I usually record my webinars and it always work. I also always edit the ends on the meeting. However yeastrday I had two webinars and after editing they lost the video ans audio från the other lecturers. If I revert to original it dont come back. What is this and what can be done about it. My audience is waiting for the recording so I have to give some information.

When creating a training notification for a curriculum, do you have access to add the user password into the email? I know this is not a great idea for security purposes, but we have a few cases where we may need to do this. Fields are available to add using the brackets like {description}. So I was wondering if user password is available to use.

We have a curriculum with 3 courses included. One is a pdf file that we want the trainees to open and scroll through. Something has changed as we do not get a completion status on the course when users open and scroll through. We are on an on-premise deployment. Connect version 9.1. This came from a Word 2010 document converted to pdf. The Acrobat version displaying is 11.00.06. Any suggestions on how to get around this?

I am a first time host, just started in Oct. '13--AC Meeting. Paid for 3 hosts. While 1 host was on with 5 attendees, she couldn't chat and got a warning notice that we were almost exceeding the 80% limit for hosts. How can this be if only 1 host was leading the meeting?

Hi and Seasons Greetings,

I use Defense Connect Online (DCO), so this may be a function of a downstream application.

I am presenting larger and larger presentations and need a way to jump back and forth on slides quickly. The outline view doesn't show slide #s, relying on the title ... that may be some generic wording if the creator didn't make the slide right.

The thumb tab view *might* be useful, but I can't get it to show up.

I see the following in help articles:

Note: If you upload your presentations directly from your computer and into a meeting, the Thumb tab is not displayed. Adobe recommends adding presentations to a meeting from the Content library.

So I uploaded a presentation to "My Content" and used that in the meeting, but still no thumb tab. I see "Shared Content" as a choice to share a file from, but I cannot find how to load anything into "Shared Content". Is there another "Content Library" I am missing?

Because of the elegant features of InDesign I would rather prefer to prepare my slides in ID than in PowerPoint.

Have you got any good advice on the page size, font size and the like?

Auto-Promote Participants to Presenters is not working

Hi All,

I'm new to Adobe Connect and we are test driving it to see if we should use it for trainging as part of our virtual classrooms.

So far I'm really excited by what I see as it seems to be much more training oriented than WebEx.

However, I've come across a really big stumbling block.

I want students to contribute and share without having to individually promote them to presenters.

I found the option under 'Manage Access & Entry' to 'Auto-Promote Participants to Presenters' and thought this issue was solved.

However, it worked the first time I tested it but ever since it does not work.

When someone logs in as a guest they are logged in as a participant and NOT promoted to Presenter.

I've created a new meeting room with the same results.

I've specified that anyone can log in with the link and the 'Auto-Promote' is definately on.

Any ideas about why this is not working?

How do I reveal the cut points when editing Adobe Connect recording?

Since the roll-out of AC 9.1, when I edit the timeline of a recording I see the timeline of the position of my cursor ON TOP OF the timeline point of the cut points, therefore I can't see where I'm about to cut a recoring. How to see the cut points when editing the timeline?

Defining Visibility of Fields in a Curriculum

Is there a way to control what fields are displayed to the student in an Adobe Connect Curriculum? For example, "Curriculum Starts On" or "Curriculum Closes On" are not always needed for the student's view. Is the only way to resolve this to create a custom curriculum outside of Connect and pull the necessary info from Connect via Web Services?

Grey screen w/ Captivate 6 Course

We recently publish content (Captivate project published at 40 mb) promoted as a Course. The behavior that I notice in "Course" mode is that a blank grey screen appears before there is any indication of a preloader. For some users, it is taking about 4-5 minutes just to see the beginning. I understand the purpose of the initial screen is that it is determining whether the learner had previously visited, and if so, Adobe Connect, will redirect the user to the specifc slide they left off. In any case, this long delay of a blank screen is happening for many first time users.

In my reading of the forums, this sounds similar to what users describe using the Moodle client.

But the thing is, we are not using Moodle, We are just communicating via the API native to Adobe Connect through our web interface.

The common variable is Captivate 6, so I am suggesting that there may be a bug within Captivate that is causing this issue.

Any help?
