Can't seem to change my email

I am trying to change my mail email in my account. The current email is no longer available to me. I've tried setting up the new email I get a message that says

"Your account changes couldn't be saved."

And then I get a new screen that says

"FOR YOUR PROTECTION, PLEASE VERIFY YOUR IDENTITY."

It wants me to use the old log in email address to verify I'm who I am, which I have done several times, but does not allow me to change the old address to a new one. When I try to put the new email in the main field again I get the same information as above and I get a pop up message that says

"An email has been sent to your inbox. Please check your email to complete verification."

I'm sure the verification is going to my old email address, but I'm not able to get any emails at the old address, as it has been cancelled.

Please help.

For instance, if someone is giving a speech in Spanish, can a translator type the text in English at real-time (or near real-time) for meeting attendees to see on a projection screen? i am getting adobe pop-up on videos "sdelvenetworks.com"...in the middle of the video screen which block much of the video...there is no way to remove the pop-up...i have tried to get help on adobe website and telephone without success...any ideas?

I am getting adobe pop-ups in videos....asking if I want to sign-up for "sdelvenetworks.com"...which blocks out much of video content and which I can't remove....I've tried contacting adobe via website and telephone...it seems that unless you are a "customer" or want to buy something from them there's no hope of getting help...

Hi all

I'm in a slight panic because I am running my first live session (with a sporting celebrity) on Monday, and the powerpoint file his representatives have sent me has a number of embedded WMV videos, which won't play in connect.

I'm aware adobe won't play any video files except flv. Can anyone recommend a good wmv > flv converter?

I have tried one online application, but I then couldn't import the FLV file into powerpoint.

I have also tried converting the whole ppt to SWF. This uploads ok but still won't play the videos or animations.

Would really appreciate some help - is there a way to import the flvs into ppt and will they then play?

The problem with the pointer not being displayed on mobile devices appears not to be fully resolved. Although it is now displayed, when the pointer is moved this is not updated on the mobile device. You have to deselect the pointer and reselect it.

This happens on iOS and Android. Has anyone else found this?

Participant Access

We would only like to have the presenter and registered attendees have access to our Virtual Meetings held one to two Tuesdays a month. Each session is different and accessed by that days presenter and those who register for the event. Our registrations are processed and paid through our database/meeting file. Once I have a list of registrants, how do I give just the registered attendees and presenter access to the event. We would prefer that once they receive the URL that they be required to log in using their email address and Member ID which we assign. If that is possible, how do I upload or give the list of registered attendees to Adobe Connect so that participants and presenter have access to session?

Making Participant --> Host

I created a meeting and added participants to it. On Select Participant screen I "Set User Role" of one of the participant to Host and then sent the invitations. When this participant (with the Host permission) logged into the meeting, she was still a "Participant" and not a "Host" even though her role was changed.

Shouldn't the participant be the "Host" when she logs into the meeting? How can you ensure a participant has a Host role when they log into it so that Host of the meeting does not have to open the meeting room?

Using Connect for Large Meetings - What Equipment Do You Use

We use Connect for larger meetings where the room has 30 or more attendees but we let the rest of the staff attend from their desks. Since we started, I have used a Canopus box to bring Audio and Video into a Firewire port on a laptop. We need to upgrade and are looking for a better way to do this especially since we have upgraded our cameras.

Does anyone have a mock up of how they do this at their sites and what equipment do you use. We are thinking about getting a computer with Audio and video inputs but need some advice.

I've been experiencing terrible problems with the Adobe Connect Meeting Add-in on my Mac Pro with Mavericks 10.9.5. Almost every time I start a session (as host - I'm using it in teaching) then either using the menu item to adjust the mic volume or trying to run the Audio Set Up Wizard will guarantee a locked program from which a forced quit is the only way out.

I tried all the usual things such as using different browsers and using the new security setting for Mavericks that needs to be followed,(Add-in | Mac OS X Mavericks 10.9, 10.8, 10.7 | Safari 6.1 or 7). I even rebooted my Mac (something I rarely have to do!). But nothing helped.

On investigation I found the page:

<Adobe Connect Meeting becomes Unresponsive with Clients Running Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks> dated August 2014. I tried most of the suggestions here (except the one involving Unix command line) but to no avail.

On further searching I found the problem with audio and crashing is not new:

Adobe Connect and Mavericks (dated Feb 2014)

Adobe Connect and Mavericks (dated Dec 2013)

I then found

Adobe Connect Crashing Repeatedly (dated Oct 2012) and following the advice there I made sure that I had the latest Connect Add-in by deleting the existing one and downloading and installing the new one. That changed nothing.

So it looks like I am suffering from a bug that Adobe has known about for 6 months or more and still has not been able to fix. Is there any hope this might be addressed soon? I am reluctant to go back to Snow Leopard (on a separate volume on my Mac) just to run AC.

Hello,

my Adobe Connect Add-in Crashes after it has started and builds up MY Meeting Room. I can Access other Meeting Rooms, and People can Access mine as well. But since mine breaks, I can not use it...

Together with my IT department, we checkt the add-in, ran checkdisk, the connections, re-installed the add-in and also changed the Screen size. But still it breaks down.

Does someone have an Idea ?

I am running a Win8 Machnie with IE10 and have nothing changed on it since months besides installing Snagit (and a few days later, I found that the connect does not work).

Broadcasting Computer Audio over Telephone

I'm using a "Passcode Entry Operator Assisted Call" for an upcoming meeting. I've created the audio profile and have made sure it connects correctly (you can hear people talking on the phone through the speakers).

During this meeting we will be displaying a short video using one of the Connect pods. However, since people will be connected by phone they won't be able to hear this audio through their speakers (their speakers are muted, otherwise they would hear the same audio they hear on the phone with a slight delay).

Is it possible to broadcast the audio to the users connected by phone (other than instructing them to un-mute their speakers)? Is this a setting that I've overlooked?

Hi,

Recently my email reminders being sent from Adobe Connect have been from the email "Adobe Connect" [admin@adobeconnect.com]

This is despite using the default setting where the event creator email address is normally used, as well as setting up a new alias with the required 'From' email details and selecting this as the name / email address that the email should come from. This is continuously over-ridden by the "Adobe Connect" email address in the From field.

When the user clicks reply to any of these emails, the correct user email address is used in the reply so this only seems to be an issue with regards the From email address.

Any ideas?

Problems with AdobeConnect on Windows 8.1

I have two machine with Windows 8.1 with the April update and AdobeConnect is terrible on both. One is a Dell laptop and the other is a Surface Pro. I always have one or more of the following problems:

Very laggy. When I switch slides it takes a long time to update on my screen. It updates instantly on other screens.
Chat doesn't update
AdobeConnect crashes
Screen share locks and I can't share again until I exit and get back into the session

I do not have any problems when I use my Windows 7 laptop using the same network cable and the same sessions. Are there settings or systems in Windows 8.1 that interfere with AdobeConnect? I have spoken to others who have similar problems. Any guidance would be very much appreciated. I have enabled logging and have several trace files which I will gladly forward.

Wacom Bamboo strokes truncated

I am a math teacher in a synchronous online environment, coming to Adobe Connect from Wimba. I am using a WIN 7 PC with the Bamboo Dock software and Wacom Bamboo CTL-470 tablet/stylus combo. Last year's experience in Wimba was less than ideal, but fully functional. Now my school has transitioned to Adobe Connect. When I attempt to write on the whiteboard or annotate a PowerPoint slide, the first "x"percent of each stroke is not visible, as if the stroke is being monitored, but no "ink" is being deposited on the screen, then the last "y" percent of the stroke is "written." I hope my screenshot will illustrate...

As I hope you can see, the beginning of each stroke is missing. (I wrote that at normal speed, like I would while teaching.) Again, it worked fine in Wimba. Also, drawing with the mouse does NOT have this problem.

The problem appears to be time vs length of stroke dependent, meaning if I write VERY VERY slowly, the missing part of the stroke is quite small. But I would have to write too slowly for a live classroom to make this work. As another workaround, if I simply delay moving the stylus until it is "ready" to write, it thinks I am trying to right click, which I sometimes need to be able to do (so I can't turn off that setting).

Any suggestions? (Finding something via Google, I already disabled the Tablet PC Input service via services.msc without seeing any change.)

Lag and nonresponsiveness in Draw function since update

With the new Connect update, the "Draw" feature has a huge lag for me. I teach math using Adobe Connect so I write lots of equations on the Whiteboard, and until today I was able to do it essentially in real time--like I was using a real pen. Now, after the update, the Draw feature in both Whiteboard and Share is laggy and unresponsive so I can barely write at all. This is quite frustrating and I will not be able to continue using Connect if this isn't resolved. My system is completely the same as it was before, so I think it must be something that changed with the update. Has anyone else encountered this, and are there any solutions? Thank you.

Why has the audio been lost once a third person has logged onto Connect online?

We have just started using Connect.

At a meeting this week all was well with three connections (two in NZ one in France) then the audio between two of the parties was lost. Subsequently another two could talk but the third could not hear (a different pair to the original problem).

Why has this happened and how can it be avoided?

I have been using my iPad with the Connect app for awhile and really like the benefit as it works much better for me than using the mouse when I want to circle/highlight, etc. for students. I also use it on a regular basis with my math class. I am looking to get a new tablet and was maybe going to go the Android or Windows direction, but when I tried it on my son's Kindle Fire with the Connect App I did not have the drawing function. Is there a list of tablets where the drawing function works or something specific that I need to look for. Thanks in advance for your help.

Connect reporting seems extremely limited, cumbersome & incomplete.

I have one Connect Curriculum with 8 Courses (we call them Modules). (Content created with Adobe Captivate)

I need a report with user info (so not just a name, but other registration data) by course completions, so something like this:

Jane Doe, email, Engineer, Orlando, Fl, [i.e. detailed info from registration] Completed Courses 2, 3, 7 [out of our 8-course curriculum]

Tom Smith, email, Astronaut, Houston, TX, Completed Courses 2, 3, 6, 7, 8

Vandana Singh, email, CPA, Dallas, TX, Completed Courses 1, 2, 3

This seems pretty rudimentary, but I've had to create instructions that entail about 21 steps to create this report FOR ONE COURSE in our Curriculum. Half of those steps need to be created again for each course. It's ALL MANUAL!!!! For our 8 Modules, we have to perform about 80 steps and this has to be done each week.

Please tell us how to do this in a more efficient way.

I'd like to upload the instructions I had to create for my poor Admin, but there's no attachment widget.

Windows 7 - Add-in Problems

I'm wondering if someone could help me out. For some reason the Adobe Connect Add-in no longer works on my desk top. I get an error message each time saying that the add-in has stopped working and Windows will notify me once a solution becomes available. I've downloaded all windows updates on my computer since the issue started on Monday. I've also removed and re-downloaded the add-in for Windows 7, which did not correct the issue. Anyone have any ideas?

We had a myriad of problems during a session today and I would greatly appreciate any advice on what happened and why.our

1) Several of our participants had their permissions changed. A participant who was screen sharing became a host and a host became a participant. Another participant who had been raised to Host suddenly could not type new text into the chat pod. All without anyone causing the change.

2) Our Chat Pod started moving around the window, then closed. Also, our layout switched from one to another and back a few times. Again, without any of the hosts doing anything.

Is it possible that the server flummoxed out permissions and mistakenly assigned host rights to an attendee? This would explain both our shifting permissions and the odd behavior of our various pods.

I have not had this blackberry playbook long and thought if I installed this application, I would be able to enter my study class chatroom.

I do have these sessions twice throughout any three months of the modules am doing, so I do know the class sessions work, and I thought I would be able to continue studying if am not at home and on the road.

I need to know if your application is still supporting the BlackBerry PlayBook OS: 2.1.0.1917, as I received your application from BlackBerry World Apps.

The class sessions are held with Resource Development International Ltd (RDI Ltd), who works together with Edexcel and Pearson Education.

I do hope we can have this fixed.

Listing the results of an absentee list.

I am trying to produce a query that will automatically generate a list of absent students whenever a particular page is called. The name of this page is entitled "students_over_30_days.cfm". The problem I am running into is that the output list is displaying all of the dates that the students were in class including dates that are clearly under 30 days. My goal is to only list students that are over 30 days according to their most recent recorded date of attendance. Students that are not over 30 days will not be shown at all. It seems pretty simple enough however I'm running into a block. Is there a Syntax or two that I am missing?

My company does webinars for subscription members, and we broadcast them via Adobe Connect. We then package up some of the recordings and put them on YouTube as promos for a larger series, etc. We had the first session of a really marketable series Monday night, and so I was prepping the recording this morning so we could put it on YouTube as a promo for the series. I opened the "Make FLV" option in order to make an FLV of the session. When the window opened, it wasn't large enough to see everything, so I expanded it. At this point, I noticed that one of the video feeds for a presenter was frozen, and his audio feed wasn't working, so I closed it. I opened the recording normally and found the same thing. It turns out, if you resize the window (which it doesn't tell you not to do), your recording may be corrupted. Is this really true? Did someone design something in a way that users doing normal user things could ruin their entire project? This is going to cost my department a bunch of money because we either have to pay the speaker to come back or figure out some kludge to fix it (or just eat a cost to marketing that's greater than what we pay for our Adobe license), and as usual it's just about impossible to find a way to actually contact an Adobe support rep.
