I'm new user of this forum. I know my W300i comes with Flash
Lite 1.1. Recently I found out that one can customize the phone
entirely, changing the way the icons appear on the desktop and use
flash themes and menus. I read somewhere in other forums that you
need to flash the phone. I could not understand entirely what that
means... I want to know more about this. My goal is to be able to
use those flash menus and themes on my W300i and to know the way to
do it. Can anyone here help me out... Again, I would also like to
know if it is possible to use flash menus and themes without
flashing .. (i read that it might damage the phone ....). Pls help
me in this regard..

Regards

.
But the result is failed. I don't why Adobe/Macromedia not
released the version.

When I was searching for
UIQ 3 phones in sonyericsson site, they mentioned flash
player is there in the phone. At the time of buying they are
removed from their site. They are not mentioned any reasons for
remove.

I am searching for Flash player for more than 8 months. There
is no use.
If any one knows any
3rd party plug-ins also ok for me.

FL2.x pre-installation

Hi

I have developed a FL2.x application and tested it on lots of
Nokia
phones. I am happy with the number of Nokias that have FL2.x
pre-installed.

My question is about pre-installation of FL2.x on some
Sony-Ericssons
that I have been researching.

According to a recent Sony Ericsson developer guidelines for
Flash
Lite 2.0 released 24 Jan 2008: (see
http://developer.sonyericsson.com/getDocument.do?docId=91537)
the
phones "K630, V640, K660, K850, W760, W890, W910,
Z750" have FL2.0
player pre-installed and can run it in 'stand-alone' mode (a
mode
required to run my application - ie: outside a browser).

However, according to Adobe Device Central CS3 (I have all
the latest
updates) the Sony Ericsson W910i has FL2.0 pre-installed but
will not
run standalone apps (I guess that means only browser apps).
The
message in Device Central is:
"The selected content type Standalone Player is not
supported by the
Flash Lite player on this device."

I went to a mobile phone store that sells the W910i and asked
about
FL2.0 pre-installation. He didn't know the answer.

Has anybody used a Sony Ericsson mobile that had FL2.x
pre-installed
(I am pretty sure the Z750 does, but not sure if the others
support
standalone mode or not). The info I have seems to be
conflicting.

Thanks, Ian

Adobe Flash Messaging?

With FlashLite around, it would be great if I can create a Flash
greeting, message on the mobile and send it across (Create on the
mobile itself)

Anyone aware if Adobe, Nokia or Symbian doing this?

Regards,

FPS and SonyEricsson

Hi all,

We have recently aquired a SE W710i for testing content. This
has FL1.1 implemented as the browser model (not standalone). After
a few tests we have discovered that the maximum framerate is around
9 fps with nothing happening on the screen at all.

The strange thing is that when we do start playing the
content, FL seems to be able to handle the content fine - it
doesn't slow down below 9fps unless there is A LOT happening, so it
almost seems like the 9fps limit is coded in as a maximum framerate
in the player/plugin rather than based on performance.

Does anybody else have similar or different experience with
the browser version of FL on other SonyEricsson devices?

Thanks,
Peter
