LiveCycle Form Not Loading in iOS Mobile App

Hi,

We recently upgraded our LiveCycle server from ES2 to ES4. To test the HTML forms, I've created a new application in ES4 with XDP template. Using the assign task, I have assigned a task to myself and It is not opening in LC Mobile App. However, when I copy the URL from the debug window from xcode and open in a iPAD browser, they are opening fine. Did anyone had a similar issue? Any help is appreciated.

I have shot some of the Portrait pictures in Monochorme/B&W - NEF Files. When I import into Lightroom 5.3 they are showing B&W. But when I click on them they are turning into Color.

Is there any option to show them as B&W and generate the JPEG file during Export as B&W Files.

If so please let me know the steps in LR.

Prevent users from entering future dates in Mobile Forms

How do you prevent users from entering a future date in a form that will be displayed on a mobile device in html 5 and on a PC as a PDF? It's easy to do with FormCalc date2num or the Acrobat method util.scand when you are doing xdp/pdf forms on the desktop, but FormCalc date2num and the Acrobat method util.scand are not supported in html 5 according to Adobe's documentation. If I were doing pure html 5 I would just import a JavaScript library that had the functions I need. In my case I need a solution that works on both the desktop pdf and in mobile html5.

In addition, the Mobile Forms help guide mentions that validation patterns may not work in html 5. How is everyone else handling date validation and scripting in mobile?

Additional Parameters to a "dataRef" population service.

Is it possible to send more than one parameter to the "dataRef" option of a mobile form via a URL?

It looks as if a single parameter can be included but additional parameters are ignored when passed in a URL. For example: http://server:8080/lc/content/dam/lcapplications/theApp/1.0/Forms/theForm.xdp/jcr:content? type=html&dataRef=http://server:8080/rest/services/theApp/Services/Application/Fill/New?fi rstGUID=ABCD&secondYear=2014&anotherID=Stuff.

I've tried a number of combinations of ?'s, &'s, and encoding of the URL without success. Separately the render service and population services work well. The record and playback shows parameters being passed properly when called alone and a single parameter only when passed as part of the dataRef URL.

Hi, I am rendering a XDP document as XHTML with renderHTMLForm 'transformTo' => 'XHTML' . The field Type="Numeric Field" and the patterns num{(zzzzzzzzzzz9.99)}. These settings works fine on a PDF but it does not work when render as HTML. The PDF version prevents the users from inputing numbers only. The XDP version rendered as HTML form is allowing the users to input anything on the field.

Any idea will be helpful on how to prevent this?

Our organization is licensed for LC ES2. We are developing a mobile application. One of requirements is converting a HTNL string into PDF format and display it on the iPhone.

Is there any way to generate responsive mobile HTML forms in Adobe LiveCycle ES4? Everything I'm finding about Mobile and ES4 points at being able to generate an HTML form that looks and acts exactly like the PDF version. We are looking to create forms that a user can complete on a mobile device (not just an iPad or Android tablet) without having to zoom and scroll back and forth. If this can be done, can someone point me to documentation that may help?

Hi all,

I have created a demo flex mobile app, it's contain login screen with 2 text input username and password (very simple ). In generally, my app working fine on android, iOS 6 ... but when I lauching on iOS 7, the login screen is not orientate when Ipad orientate.

My login screen is very simple without implement any special method/event. I seached google but can not find anything. I'm using Flex mobile 4.6

Source for ES4 Mobile Workspace App ?

I can't find the source for the Mobile Workspace App in ES4. The documentation says it will be in the adobe-lc-mobileworkspace-src.zip file found in this path: [LiveCycle_root]\sdk\LC Mobile Workspace. I have that file - but there's no Android folder -- there's a Capture folder and a Capture.xcodeproj. And a PhoneGap folder...and a couple other that seem to have no chance of being correct.

Am I supposed to build the android project through phonegap? Is there updated documentation?

I looked in that folder with ES4 trial installation and then I updated to service pack 1 and see the same results.

Did you know that if you've licensed LiveCycle Process Management ES2, or Content Services ES2, there are mobile apps available for you to use? For Process Management, you can use your iPhone, Blackberry or Windows Mobile 6.1/6.5 device to approve tasks on the go with LiveCycle Workspace Mobile.

The apps are available on the App Stores (Apple AppStore, Blackberry App World and Windows Live Market).

For Content Services, there is an iPhone only app available on the Apple AppStore that will allow you to view content on the go. It also works with Microsoft Sharepoint 2010.

Is it possible to save a copy of a PDF form created in Livecycle Designer ES3?

Hey,

I've created a form using the trial version of Livecycle ES3 however when I view the form I get this message:

"you cannot save data typed into this form. Please print your completed form if you would like to keep a copy for your records."

Is there a way around this/ is this just with the trial version? If I download the full version will the forms then be saveable?

I don't want to send out the form to people unless they are able to save a copy as I think that this could cause issues.

I have tried create PDF by adobe but this does not seem to work.

I want to be able to fill in form fields in an interactive PDF document created in acrobat pro and save the data on the form. My interactive PDF documents don't open on my iPad.

Amazon Android Appstore refusing Air based Droid apps

I recently submitted a few apps to the Amazon Android Appstore and am just now recieving refusal emails due to the apps looking for Adobe Air updates on the Android Marketplace. I use FlashBuilder to compile to mobile with no code added to otherwise violate the Amazon terms of service so I dont see how developers can control this problem. I have to assume that they have no idea what Flash/Flex based Android apps are comprised of and I'm hoping Adobe can have some of its leverage applied to the Amazon execs to remedy this situation in their Droid marketplace because it boxes out large numbers.

The email I recieved is as follows so you can see their stance on the submission:

I have a PDF that we wanted to use on mobile devices. I edited the PDF using livecycle, added in all the functions I needed to get the totals to add up at the end. All functions work on the computer. I have tested both Mac & PC. When I try to open it on a mobile device (apple or android) The math functions do not translate. I have tried adobe reader qpdf and pdf expert.

quantity x cost per item = total cost I have total1.rawValue = qty1.rawValue * cost1.rawValue

Then all the total costs add up at the bottom.

I have tried both form calc and javascript. Not sure what else to do. Any help would be appreciated.

I did change the Total Cost field to editable now so they can do the mathmatics themselves.

1. Cannot find a suitable client for LiveCycle ES2.. Does ADEP client backward compatible?

2. Does the mobile device require Adobe AIR to succesfully install/use the mobile client?

3. Mobile Guide render service renders the XDP to mobile devices. Will this require Adobe Flash player plugin for mobiles?

If yes, what will happen to iOS devices as they do not support that plugin?

Perhaps, if Adobe stops supporting mobile browser plugins, what will be impact on mobile client for LC?

I have few queries over the Windows Mobile's Flash suport for the version from 5.0 to till 6.5 .

1. What is the latest version of flash that supports Windows Mobile version from 5.0 to till 6.5?

2. To my findings only till Flash 8, windows mobile 6.5 will support and that too along with till AS 2.0 support.is that true?

3. Windows Mobile will run Flash 9 but it will not allow user interaction like clicking of objects. will it be possible?

4. Do flash have any restriction on the resolution issue if i play the content in Mobile device since one of my flash file had an issue in playing.?

Configuring renderMobileGuide service - LC Mobile ES2

Hello all,

I have a fml-based Guide that successfully renders from a Mobile startpoint using the /Process Management (system)/1.0/Render Guide.process.

This same guide does not render when used as the presentation asset for an 'Assign Task' service. I've tried using both 'Render Guide' and 'Render Mobile Guide' (/Mobile (system)/1.0/Processes/RenderMobileGuide.process).

I haven't found any documentation on 'RenderMobileGuide', and need help configuring the Render process properties. (see below)

The error I receive when attempting to open the guide from the Task list (LC Mobile ES2 Tasks - Android) is: "Could not download PDF due to server error".

I need some support with LiveCycle for Mobile on Apple iPad. In the app's main menu, when i log in to the Livecycle server, there should be 3 tabs (Tasks, Forms and documents), but i can see only the Tasks tab.

I have set the following user permission for the test user:

I am in progress of developing a client app for Google's Android platform. PDF documents as the contents in the system will be displayed by that client app. Also, they need to be sent via email as file attachment...

Does anybody know how to pass a document to email client app in android platform?

My form has 2 routes/buttons: Approve and Reject.

If the form is rejected, I must validate that they entered comments in
the reject field before submitting.

How do I find the value of which button is selected through
javascript...so that I can enforce my validation?

I tried giving an alert message at the beginning of the script to display the aws_action value and it seems to display "approve" for both the buttons.

the aws_choice always seems to take the first choice value . How do I resolve this ?
