Hello,

i'm a web designer and conceptor of professional websites.

Responsive websites are the future. But for my clients, dynamic administration content are needed too.

Edge Reflow is a good hope to easily create responsive static website, but if i can't finalise it with dynamic PHP langage, connect to my database, etc, it's useless !

I spend a lot of time to explore Edge Animate too and same problems : no dynamic dialog possible at this state of development (and don't talk to me about json file or jQuery plug in) >> no utily in web development.

If Edge Reflow really works with CSS3 and HTML5, it could be generate a HTML code we will be able to modify and improve with PHP inside Dreamweaver for example...

Adobe creates Edge to replace Flash but for the moment Adobe makes the same errors...

Set body background image in reflow

Hi, I've been lookoing up and down to find where I can set a background image for a page in reflow. Cant find it anywhere. If I manually edit the html or css in the files edge generates to add a background image, of course it works, but next time I reopen the project in reflow, my changes get deleted, and I am back where I was before.

So, where in reflow can I set the background image?

Observations on using Rf for app prototype

Been working with Rf for about 2 months on prototyping a web app. I've been able to create a responsive prototype that shows the developers -exactly- how it should look on different screens, which is great!

However, the most frustrating thing is for the non-programmer to understand "Position" types. I have to use a lot of trial and error to get objects to adjust in a logical manner.

Trying to get the page to do simple adjustments can take hours (especially if you have several objects on the page) because one wrong setting on a single object can mess up the whole page.

I don't understand the logic of how an object is related to another object: Text block top margin is related to the rule above, but another text block's top margin is related to a totally different object??? How is this determined? Can I change this?

It would be nice to have a view (maybe called Responsive View?)--similar to Show Object Edges, but includes (margin, padding, floating relation to other objects, etc.) so one can "design" the responsiveness as we design the layout.

Responsive View could show relationships between objects with small icons (chainlink, rubber band, etc.) and allow you to change those settings by clicking on the little icons...

I think this would be a great feature since a lot of what designers are spend more time on is how to make each screen size look ideal.

Here are some other observations:

- Placing a new object is tedious because it can mess up the layout. They should be set with default settings that don't affect other objects.

- objects loose their settings when a new object is placed.

- objects change Margin setting of Auto to % when they are nudged or a new object is placed.

- if two buttons are grouped I expect them to act as a single object when the window is resized.

- would be nice to have a table tool

Values get lost

How come when I apply values to Box elements (Divs), they don't retain there value? It's like they don't stick and get changed if you make other modifications to other Div objects. Sometimes percentage values get changed to pixel values. The clearing buttons seem to randomly put different values upon your object depending on how many times you click them. I spent two hours trying to create a three column responsive Div and I still am not able to get it to work right using this Edge Reflow tool. It would seem I should be able to click one box and select Float Left, then select the middle box and select Float Middle, and then select the third box and select Float Right, but this does not work. They do not line up along the top of the parenting div that the three boxes are contained in.

Is it just me, or is this software very buggy?

Create reusable CSS with class definitions?

The exported project contains so many redundant styles it isn't logical for me to want to use this software as-is. I want to generate cleaner CSS with the HTML generated from Adobe Edge Reflow. Being able to define a class style would be amazingly helpful. Can we get a style definition panel that allows us to define a class, then simply assign the class to elements so that the amount of redundant CSS is significantly reduced.

As it is, everything is based on CSS ID definitions except for those provided in the HTML5BP 'boilerplate.css' stylesheet (mostly seeing clearfix and image classes used on generated HTML elements).

Hello

I've been trying to import my photoshop file to edge reflow, just as it's been stated in the videos but when I click generate reflow project nothing happens. There's no file created. Also, Edge reflow can't doesn't connect to Photoshop CC. I have both the latest versions of both, and they're up to date. Any help as to why is this happening would be appreciated. Thank you.

When copying/duplicating elements in Edge Reflow that have quite a few nested areas it becomes very slow (sometimes taking 5-10 minutes!) I've tried it on a few machines in case it was a hardware issue but it seems sluggish on everything I try. Does anyone else have this issue and is it a software bug?

Error in Adobe Reflow Dom

Hi,

When I downloaded adobe reflow a week ago, I found it fantastic.

However a few days ago, the whole of the Dom errored and randomised itself. Undo wouldn't fix it and I had to revert to a previous version. This then promptly happened again in the older version. The only way I could find to fix it was to reinstall it. This worked the first few times and the software would be fine for about a day.

However now it is erroring every 10-15 mins, which required a re-install to fix.

You can understand why this is becoming an issue, and if I haven't saved the document before the error, I have to completely reorganise the DOM.

Any suggestions or feedback would be really appreciated,

Maybe I have to be patient for all of these features to become part of Reflow, but my clients are clamoring for responsive websites like the ones Reflow creates... so I'm asking for all the rest of the goodies asap. I'm not a coder, so the wysiwyg approach is what I'm hoping for.

Is there a timeline for this that you can share - or at least hint at?

After loading Photoshop CC and looking in the Edit menu the is no 'Generate Edge Rflow' link. It should be under 'save for web' according to one of your videos but its simply not there. It is Photoshop CC I'm openning and I have tried quitting and reloading.

I loved reflow when it debuted. Within a few months I started designing directly in Reflow and built a workflow around it. But lately it's shortcomings have become really tiresome.

I'd hoped within the last year or so that symbols or some sort of CSS styling might be possible to text tags, but it's the basic interaction with the tool that's become the most exhausting.

The main one thing that's truly maddening is that in what seems like the effort to make the page elements stable it requires constantly adjust items lower in the DOM. I mentioned this a year ago when I talked with the Dev team.

For example: If I have a container (A) with 3 blocks stacked vertically in it and I add a 4th, the objects below don't simply shift down maintaining the margins I already set. Instead the lower containers (B, C, D) all take on ridiculous negative margins staying exactly where they were before adding the 4th block to (A), and container (A) simply goes behind the containers (B). Then I have to correct the margin changes in the B & C & D because they adjust their margins with each change up the DOM to stay where they currently are on the page. If I add a new container the lower ones take on huge negative matins to keep from moving, if I remove a block the subsequent blocks change to huge positive margins remain in the same location on the page. In what possible context would you remove a block from a page but want the subsequent blocks to retain a huge gap?

I don't know how this behavior ever came about because it makes you want to pull your hair out every time you make a change to a complex file. Each addition creates a cascade of corrections just to get reset back to what you already entered in the layout settings. I assume this is to help folks who are using Reflow as a drag and draw tool but that's so ridiculously imprecise I can't imagine any but the most amateur users relying on building layouts via drag and draw via mouse. This behavior makes a complex area like a header with logo, navigation, signup block and meta links in it a mine field every time you change something.

FROONT doesn't seem to suffer from this, once you set a value that value remains the same when changing other objects unless you change it. I don't see how a tool could ever be smart enough to interpret what I want to happen to everything else on the page when I add, remove or change elements. Reflow shouldn't be constantly changing my layout tab settings especially since they cascade down the DOM so that the same fields need to be corrected back to what I entered over and over again during a design. If the page breaks because I add or remove an object I'm aware of the context and can fix it if Reflow wasn't automatically adjusting all dependent objects, but instead I have to find all the fields where the application has decided to make adjustments to keep rest of the page layout from looking different after a change.

Like I said, I've been using Reflow for over a year, and I'd like to continue but I really want to know if I'm wasting my time because these issues are also almost that old so it doesn't seem like Adobe is super committed to Reflow but that it was a side experiment that may have run its course.

the last update of Adobe Edge Reflow CC Preview (ProductVersion = 0.51.17178) runs anytime onto the errorcode 2738. It does not matter if I run an update or a new installation, if its run by the CreativeClowd app or run the msi (Edge_Reflow_preview_8.1_LREF.msi)

Problem with Photoshop and Reflow plugin

I keep getting the following message every time I start photoshop:

There is a problem with Generator. Please quit Photoshop and try again. If the problem persists, remove any third-party plug-ins or try reinstalling Photoshop.

I am running PS 14.1.1

I have also noticed that the Reflow option is missing in the generaotr dropdown. I have installed Reflow and have also tried just downloading/installing the plugin.

Any ideas?

Multiple buttons with one code

Problem is in code. Each button has own id and for that own css tag. So css file looks very messy and long

Reflow installation creating strange ps1, ps2, ps3, ps4 folders on the root dir of my secondary drive.

Some background info:

Win7 Pro, x64

I just got Adobe CC and did an install of a lot of the software on my C: system drive, which is a small SSD. The D: drive is a separate physical HDD. I then created symlinks for a lot of the software (besides PS, Illustrator, InDesign, and the smaller ones like all the "Edge" software) and moved those to my D: storage drive. Once again, to clarify, Edge Reflow and Photoshop are both still on the C: system drive where Adobe CC installed them originally.

After I installed Reflow, three folders got created on my D: drive, named: ps1, ps2, and ps3. Their folder structures are almost, if not completely, identical to each other:

A quick system-wide search of "reflow.generate" also identified another identical folder sitting inside my Photoshop CC directory at:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014\Plug-ins\Generator\reflow.generate

This folder has the same file/subfolder structure as the above.

I am wondering what the ps1, ps2, ps3 folders are and what they are doing sitting in my root D: drive directory. I tried uninstalling Reflow, after which those folders disappeared. I then reinstalled Reflow and they appeared again as p1, p2, and p4 (instead of p3). The other folder, within the Photoshop plugins folder, is back again also, as can be seen here:

I understand that these folders are part of the Adobe Photoshop / Edge Reflow generator plugin that I have watched a video of. What I do not understand is why I am getting these extra "ps" folders on my other drive. The only other thing I can think of that might help is that I have Photoshop's scratch disk set to the D: drive. Edge Reflow has not been ran at all since its own installation, however.

Are those "ps" folders safe to delete?

Prise en charge des polices locales

Désormais, les polices présentes sur votre ordinateur sont prises en charge. Vous pouvez les prévisualiser et les utiliser en local. Exportez le code afin de transformer ces polices standard en polices Web, visualisables par quiconque et sur n’importe quel ordinateur (pas seulement le vôtre).

Nouveau panneau Eléments

Le panneau Eléments peut rester actif en permanence et reste affiché sur la droite de l’écran. Vous pouvez l’activer ou le désactiver avec la même touche de raccourci que pour le panneau Calques de Photoshop (F7).

Reparenting an element no longer causes sibling element to move.
Adding a link to an element does not change the element’s size (issue 129).
CSS is not lost when opening a Reflow project directly from the Mac Finder / Windows Explorer (issue 133).
On Macs with dual GPUs, the integrated GPU is now used, to reduce power usage.
We removed the non-functional “Preferences” item in the Edge Reflow menu on Mac.

Known Limitations

-----------

CSS Regions are supported in Safari 6.1 and higher and are behind a feature flag in mainline Chrome.
Some people on OS 10.9 may experience a crash or freeze when opening or saving files in Edge Reflow. The root cause is described here: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/crash-using-open-save-dialog -mac.html. To avoid this issue, do not use the "coverflow" view in Finder.

Photoshop Import Limitations

You must have Photoshop CC version 14.1 or higher to create Edge Reflow projects from PSDs.
The Photoshop “background” layer is ignored during import.
A rectangular shape layer will become a div with CSS gradients, shadows and border applied.
Polygons and line-join shapes are not currently supported when exporting a project from Photoshop to Reflow.
A gradient layer with a linear gradient will become a div with a gradient background. Other gradients, such as radial, are ignored.
Gradient midPoint values are ignored.
The following layer effects in Photoshop are supported when exporting to Reflow, but others are not: drop shadow, inner shadow, strokes.
Text areas with more than one paragraph style are not currently supported. We will take the first one and apply that to the P tag, though multiple text styles will be created using spans.
Text can have a drop shadow, but not an inner shadow. "Inset" isn't supported by CSS text-shadow the way it is by box-shadow.
If multiple shapes exist with the same shape layer, Reflow will not import it as a complex shape.
Transforms and clipping applied to shape layers are ignored.
Transforms and clipping applied to layers that are marked as assets may result in inaccurate bounds in Reflow. Grouping the relevant layers and marking that as an asset will work around this.

Installation Instructions

-----------

If you already have the Creative Cloud Desktop application, you can find "Edge Reflow CC" in the Apps tab. Click on the "Install" button in the Creative Cloud Desktop application. Even if you have Reflow already installed, the link will still say "Install," rather than "Upgrade." This is a known issue with the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

The installer will overwrite any existing installation of Edge Reflow CC.

If you do not have the Creative Cloud Desktop application, go to Edge Reflow CC's page on the Creative Cloud at https://creative.adobe.com/products/reflow and hit the download button. This will install the Creative Cloud Desktop application that helps you manage installation of all of your Adobe applications. Once the Creative Cloud Desktop application is installed, run it and go to the Apps tab to find Edge Reflow CC and install it from there.

Out of Box Experience

We have added a starter project to Edge Reflow that you can interact and play with upon first launch. This should give you an idea of how to interact with breakpoints, move things around a page, interact with groups and understand how layout works. The project should also help to inform you about new features available in this update of Reflow. You can open it at any time by selecting "Open Welcome Project" from the Help menu.

Layout Insertion Caret

-----------

In an effort to make layout in Reflow easier, we have added an insertion caret to help you visualize where an element will land when you move it. As you drag an element, if the mouse is between other elements or overlapping elements, a visual caret will display the position at which the element will land. The element can land between two elements splitting margins evenly. Similarly, if the caret is flush against the right or left side of another element, it will land on the edge setting new margins to 0.

Form Elements

-----------

Reflow now includes the ability to add form elements to your design. From the main tools menu, you can add a button, text input, select, checkbox, or radio button to your design. Once the form element is on your canvas, you can change various properties of the element in the property inspector such as the orientation of labels or the value of a button.

States and Linking

-----------

Any element on the Reflow canvas can now have a link added to it. You can also style any element for hover, active and focus states. Links can be made to a URL or to another page in your design. These links and states will work in the tab preview mode or the browser preview.

Grouping

----------

We have changed the interaction with groups in this update to Edge Reflow. In this version, groups will be visualized on the canvas with a dashed line. Other elements on the canvas have a solid line. Elements can now be edited, added or removed from a group without ungrouping. If you have a group, select the group with one click of your mouse, then click once more to edit an element in that group.

- A gradient layer with a linear gradient will become a div with a gradient background. Other gradients, such as radial, are ignored.

- Gradient midPoint values are ignored.

- The following layer effects in Photoshop are supported when exporting to Reflow, but others are not: drop shadow, inner shadow, strokes.

- Text areas with more than one paragraph style are not currently supported. We will take the first one and apply that to the P tag, though multiple text styles will be created using spans.

- Text can have a drop shadow, but not an inner shadow. "Inset" isn't supported by CSS text-shadow the way it is by box-shadow.

- If multiple shapes exist with the same shape layer, Reflow will not import it as a complex shape.

- Transforms and clipping applied to shape layers are ignored.

- Transforms and clipping applied to layers that are marked as assets may result in inaccurate bounds in Reflow. Grouping the relevant layers and marking that as an asset will work around this.

If you already have the Creative Cloud Desktop application, you can find "Edge Reflow CC" in the Apps tab. Click on the "Install" button in the Creative Cloud Desktop application. Even if you have Reflow already installed, the link will still say "Install," rather than "Upgrade." This is a known issue with the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

The installer will overwrite any existing installation of Edge Reflow CC.

If you do not have the Creative Cloud Desktop application, go to Edge Reflow CC's page on the creative cloud at https://creative.adobe.com/products/reflow and hit the download button. This will install the Creative Cloud Desktop application that helps you manage installation of all of your Adobe applications. Once the Creative Cloud Desktop application is installed, run it and go to the Apps tab to find Edge Reflow CC and install it from there.

Lambda (signe d’insertion) pour la mise en page

Afin de faciliter la mise en page dans Reflow, nous avons ajouté un lambda d’insertion pour que vous puissiez visualiser à quel endroit un élément va apparaître lorsque vous le déplacez. A mesure que vous faites glisser l’élément, si le curseur se trouve entre ou par-dessus d’autres éléments, un lambda visuel affiche l’endroit où l’élément va atterrir. L’élément peut atterrir entre deux autres éléments, en fractionnant les marges à parts égales. De même, si le lambda se trouve tout contre le côté gauche ou droit d’un autre élément, il se retrouve positionné sur le bord et les nouvelles marges sont définies sur 0.

Eléments de formulaire

Reflow permet désormais d’ajouter des éléments de formulaire à votre projet de conception. Depuis le menu d’outils principal, vous pouvez ajouter un bouton, une saisie de texte, une case à cocher ou un bouton radio à votre projet. Une fois que l’élément de formulaire est placé sur la zone de dessin, vous pouvez modifier ses différents attributs dans le volet Inspecteur des propriétés, par exemple l’orientation des étiquettes ou la valeur des boutons.

Etats et création de liens

Chaque élément de la zone de dessin Reflow peut désormais être associé à un lien. Vous pouvez également appliquer un style à chaque élément selon qu’il présente l’état survol, actif ou focus. Les liens peuvent renvoyer vers une adresse URL ou vers une autre page de votre projet. Ces liens et les états définis fonctionnent dans le mode d’aperçu des onglets ou dans l’aperçu du navigateur.

Regroupement

Use CSS Regions to create exciting new layouts that have never been seen before on the web. Leverage flow containers to achieve stunning effects with text and images.

To try out CSS Regions in your responsive projects, follow these steps:

1. Go to the View -> Shiny Web Features and enable CSS Regions.

2. Select any number of elements on your canvas that you want to be in a flow container.

3. Right-click and choose "Create Region Container."

4. Add additional flow containers that will connect to the one created in step 3 by clicking on the + icon from one of your regions.

5. Edit the content of your flow containers by double-clicking on a flow container to go into "content editing" mode. In this mode, you can add, delete or move elements around the container.

6. Exit the content editing mode by double-clicking on the canvas again or hitting the left arrow key on the status bar.

7. Preview your designs in Safari or Chrome via the View menu.

Utilisez les régions CSS pour créer de superbes mises en forme, totalement inédites sur le web. Grâce aux conteneurs de flux, vous pouvez réaliser des effets impressionnants au niveau du texte et des images.

Pour tester les régions CSS dans vos projets réactifs, procédez comme suit :

1. Cliquez sur Affichage -> Fonctionnalités web sensass, puis activez l’option Régions CSS.

2. Sélectionnez autant d’éléments que vous le souhaitez sur la zone de dessin afin de les ajouter à un conteneur de flux.

3. Effectuez un clic droit et sélectionnez « Créer un conteneur de région ».

4. Ajoutez les conteneurs de région qui viendront se connecter à celui créé à l’étape 3 en cliquant sur l’icône + dans l’une de vos régions.

5. Modifiez les données de vos conteneurs de flux en double-cliquant sur l’un d’eux afin d’accéder au mode d’édition du contenu. Ce mode vous permet d’ajouter, de supprimer ou de déplacer les éléments associés au conteneur.

6. Quittez le mode d’édition du contenu en double-cliquant à nouveau sur la zone de dessin ou en appuyant sur la flèche vers la gauche dans la barre d’état.

7. Affichez l’aperçu de vos créations dans Safari ou dans Chrome par le biais du menu Affichage.

Restrictions connues

-----------

- Les régions CSS sont prises en charge dans Safari 6.1 et versions ultérieures, ainsi que derrière un indicateur de fonction (« feature flag ») dans la version classique de Chrome.

- Les fonctions « Couper avant » et « Couper après » ne fonctionnent pas lorsque des éléments de la zone de dessin utilisent des propriétés de mise en forme flottante.

Restrictions d’importation dans Photoshop

- Vous devez disposer de Photoshop CC version 14.1 ou ultérieure pour pouvoir créer des projets Edge Reflow à partir de fichiers PSD.

- Le calque « Arrière-plan » de Photoshop n’est pas pris en compte dans l’importation.

- Les calques de forme rectangulaire sont transformés en conteneurs div auxquels sont appliquées les propriétés css de dégradé, d’ombre et de bordure.

- Les polygones et les formes contenant des sommets de ligne ne sont pas pris en charge actuellement lors de l’exportation d’un projet de Photoshop vers Reflow.

- Les valeurs de milieu de dégradé ne sont pas prises en compte.

- Les effets de calque Photoshop suivants sont pris en charge lors de l’exportation vers Reflow : Ombre portée, Ombre interne, Contours. Tous les autres effets ne sont pas pris en charge.

- Si plusieurs formes sont présentes dans un même calque de forme, Reflow ne l’importe pas en tant que forme complexe.

- Les transformations et l’écrêtage appliqués aux calques de forme ne sont pas pris en compte.

Import to Edge Reflow CC from the latest version of Photoshop CC

- Launch Reflow and open a PSD in Photoshop

- Within Reflow, open the Photoshop panel from the icon on the right. Reflow connects to the currently open PSD in Photoshop.

- Choose between "Creat New Page," which places all of the text, shapes and assets to allow you to get started easily with laying out the page in Reflow, and "Library," which imports all the defined assets directly to Reflow's Asset library for use during the design process

- Photoshop Sync, when activated, updates Reflow's asset library automatically with any assets that are changed or created in that PSD in Photoshop.

- Alternatively, export Reflow Projects from within Photoshop CC by using File > Generate > Edge Reflow Project, and then opening the project in Reflow.

Known Issues and Limitations in the Photoshop Import

- The Photoshop 'background' layer is ignored during import.

- Rectangular shape layers will become a div with css gradients, shadows and border applied.

- Ellipses, Polygons and line-join shapes are not currently supported

- Gradient layers with a linear gradient will become a div with a gradient background. Other gradients, such as radial, are ignored.

- Gradient midPoint values are ignored

- Supported layerEffects

- Drop shadow

- Inner shadow

- Strokes

- Text areas with more than 1 paragraph style are not currently supported. We will take the first one and apply that to the P tag, though multiple text styles will be created using spans.

- Text can have a drop shadow, but not an inner shadow. "Inset" isn't supported by CSS text-shadow the way it is by box-shadow.

- If multiple shapes exist with the same shape layer, Reflow will not import it as a complex shape.

- Transforms and clipping applied to shape layers are ignored.

- Transforms and clipping applied to layers that are marked as assets may result in inaccurate bounds in Reflow. Grouping the relevant layers and marking that as an asset will work around this.

- Photoshop Sync will turn off any time the active PSD is changed in Photoshop.

If you already have the Creative Cloud Desktop application, you can find "Edge Reflow CC" in the Apps tab. Click on the "Install" button in the Creative Cloud Desktop application. Even if you have Reflow already installed, the link will still say "Install", rather than "Upgrade". This is a known issue with the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

The installer will overwrite any existing installation of Edge Reflow CC.

If you do not have the Creative Cloud Desktop application, go to Edge Reflow CC's page on the creative cloud at https://creative.adobe.com/products/reflow and hit the download button. This will install the Creative Cloud Desktop application that helps you manage installation of all of your Adobe applications. Once the Creative Cloud Desktop application is installed, go to the Apps tab to find Edge Reflow CC and install it from there.

Note: The Edge Reflow CC Preview is available in all Creative Cloud plans including the FREE option.

If you have a previously installed version of Edge Reflow (Preview 1 or 2), you will get a second installation of Edge Reflow CC because we renamed the .app file for Mac and the default installation for Windows in our last public preview. You can safely uninstall any previous versions of Reflow after installing Edge Reflow CC.

- Reflow now supports multiple page projects. From Reflow, you can add, delete, rename, rearrange and preview multiple pages in your project. To add pages to your document, go to the "Pages" menu item or click on the third icon on your right column panel.

Conceptions adaptatives sur plusieurs pages

- Reflow prend maintenant en charge des projets de plusieurs pages. Dans Reflow, vous pouvez ajouter, supprimer, renommer, réorganiser et prévisualiser différentes pages pour votre produit. Layout Enhancements

Add or remove the parent of selected items.
Evenly space elements vertically or horizontally using the Align Panel.
Objects now snap to each other during initial placement, resize and move. Toggle functionality via View -> Snapping menu.

Styling Enhancements

Copy and paste visual styles between elements. To copy visual styles, select an element choose Edit -> Copy Visual Styles. To paste the styles, select another element and use Edit -> Paste Visual Styles.
CSS filters can be used to style elements in your design. To use CSS filters, you will need to select View -> Show Experimental Features.

Text Enhancements

Support for Typekit kits in a Reflow project.
Style the borders and backgrounds of text element.

Productivity Enhancements

Define document wide text styles by selecting the body of your document. Control default styles as well as type base size.
Reflow now includes an "asset panel" where you can display all the assets that have been added to your project. The panel previews your images, usage counts, and can replace the asset with another or delete the image entirely from your project.
Elements panel now supports drag and drop reordering of elements of DOM order.
You can rename elements via the DOM bar.

Known Issues

If you change your base typography on a Reflow project before adding any text elements, the font will not display in your Chrome preview. To work around this bug, add a text element to your project before changing your base typography.
After using your mouse on the scrollbar, you will no longer be able to highlight text for editing using your mouse. You will need to use arrow keys to highlight text or save and restart Reflow to fix this bug. Using a mouse wheel to scroll will avoid this issue.

Améliorations concernant la productivité

Définissez des styles de texte à l’échelle du document en sélectionnant le corps de votre document. Contrôlez les styles par défaut ainsi que la taille de base du texte.
Reflow inclut désormais un « panneau Actifs », dans lequel vous pouvez voir tous les actifs ajoutés à votre projet. Ce panneau affiche un aperçu de vos images et indique le nombre d’utilisations. Il vous permet de remplacer un actif par un autre ou de supprimer entièrement une image de votre projet.
Le panneau Eléments permet maintenant de réorganiser les éléments de DOM par glisser-déplacer.
Vous pouvez renommer les éléments via la barre DOM.

Problèmes connus

Si vous modifiez la typographie de base d’un projet Reflow sans avoir ajouté d’élément textuel au préalable, la police ne s’affichera pas dans l’aperçu accessible via Chrome. Pour éviter ce problème, ajoutez un élément textuel à votre projet avant de modifier la typographie de base.
Si vous utilisez votre souris sur la barre de défilement, il vous sera ensuite impossible de surligner un texte pour modification via la souris. Vous devrez alors utiliser les touches de direction pour surligner le texte, ou enregistrer votre projet et relancer Reflow pour éliminer le bogue. Vous pouvez également utiliser la molette de défilement afin d’éviter ce problème.

Layout Enhancements

Margin visualizations have changed to enhance the clarity of your layout.

Reflow now supports all position:static, position:absolute, position:relative and position:fixed. Absolute positioned elements will have their top and left styles by default. Support for changing right and bottom styles is available.

Support for z-index was added for absolute position layout elements.

Text Styling Enhancements

You can now select a substring of a text element and add or remove styles. This creates a "span" in the text element. You can view and select span elements in a text element through the DOM panel.

Colorpicker Enhancements

A luminosity slider has been added to the Reflow Colorpicker adding the ability for you to control just the L channel of the HSL color space.

Productivity Enhancements

The ability to rename elements in the DOM Panel was added.

- An error may occur when using the Edge Inspect Integration feature of Reflow with an iOS device. To workaround the problem, click on the Adobe Edge Inspect title, choose "Authorized devices", hit eject on the device, then, hit remove on the device. After this, re-pair your device.

- The CSS incorporated in the "Preview In Chrome" feature is intended for use in Chrome and is not tested in additional browsers.

L’affichage des marges a été modifié pour une mise en page plus claire.

Reflow prend désormais en charge tous les paramètres de position (Statique, Absolue, Relative et Fixe). Les styles haut et gauche sont appliqués par défaut aux éléments à position absolue. Il est possible de modifier les styles bas et droite.

L’indice Z est désormais disponible pour les éléments de mise en page à position absolue.

- Les noms d’images figurant dans le panneau de propriétés ne s’affichent pas correctement avec certains caractères ne faisant pas partie de l’alphabet anglais.

- L’ordre des onglets n’est pas toujours correct dans les différentes fenêtres contextuelles et dans le panneau de propriétés.

- Dans certains cas, la hauteur d’un encadré augmente lorsqu’un autre encadré est inséré.

- Dans certaines conditions, il est impossible de supprimer un style de cadre.

- Si vous installez Reflow sur une image système ou une machine virtuelle, vous risquez de rencontrer une erreur au lancement d’Adobe Edge Reflow indiquant que le fichier « MSVCP100.dll » est manquant. Can you make the user interface text size adjustable? its too small

Edge reflow like all adobe applications have limited ability to change the user interface text size. Many times the text size is way too small especially on high resolution displays can you please make it a feature to increase font size for the UI?

Will Edge Reflow be usable?

An exciting tool however the Preview version doesn't suggest that it will be a fully fledged tool for mockingup or creating responsive design.

A few of the things I have noticed:

• The limit of 16 columns creates problems for anything that required more. While the settings can be adjusted and you can play with Gutters and margins, these are a work-around that create other problems.

• There seem to be a few bugs such as the inability to select the breakpoint + pulldown menu to name and adjust dimensions

• Setting dimensions for one breakpoint sometimes carry over into other breakpoints automatically. I understand that you are meant to click the button that appears "Apply property to all regions". It is also limited when attempting to create very realistic rules such text that is 90% wide but not exceeding 400px - it usually coverts the 'size' to different percentage or a px width and carries through various 'properties' into other breakpoints.

• With changes to an object, it would be useful if multiple properties are changed to apply all changes to all regions, rather than have to click each individual property. Like-wise for a group of object should inherit identical properties.

* The percentages are not working well. If I set a margin to 10% for example and select a box or text field, why will it then display 9.86% on the object? (the percentage changes slightly when the page is expanded / closed). This also happens on some object sizes. It is frustrating when object are aligned and are not touched or interferred with by any other settings suddenly lose their global settings and develop individual settings with their own new dimentsions.

• Alignment is a challenge, If I create a box and drag it to align, the magnetic/snap-to alignment function works however it is never 0%, it is always a fraction such as 0.4% and has to be corrected each time in the properties. And if chaning to pixel dimensions, I have had it change to percentage.

• Generally the tactile feedback for the application needs to be improved - basic things like hover / mouseover effects that are standard in adobe software.

My primary use currently is mockups however was still interested in reviewing the code with the developers, though will have to hold off on this.

The functionality for viewing breakpoints is good as well as the colour coding though care needs to be taken to avoid accidently deleting - a popup would be good.

Is it possible to use Adobe Edge Reflow with an existing front-end framework like Bootstrap?

It would be nice to be able to work and modify Bootstrap elements (like buttons and forms) in Reflow. Do the responsive layouts. And then export CSS that could be used with the Responsive Bootstrap Framework.

I've accidentally set the colour of some text at the box level, then tried to change the colour of a word or two within the box, but one thing seems to override the other, and I can't seem to delete either colour tag. Any ideas, please?

Lost my Edge Reflow file when exporting for code editor

Hello,

I just finished my project and exported the code. The code look nice, but I wanted to change something back in the Edge Reflow file and when I opened the file all I could see was a blank screen, no pages, no information, no nothing. The only thing I saw was that on the Asset Library all of the pictures I used were there, and an error on the 'talk to the team' button: Failed to load URL file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Adobe/Adobe%20Edge%20Reflow%20CC%20Preview/www/reflow/ src/modules/extensionbar/view/templates/olark.html with error (-3)

Could somebody tell me what to do at this point?

Reflow margins not behaving.

I have a logo image on the left with 2 text objects to the right of it (header and sub header, one above the other).

The top header text's horizontal margin (%) is on the left side of it, taken from the right edge of the logo.

Below it, the smaller sub header text's horizontal margin (%) is a negative value from the right side of the page.

It will not scale or move correctly with the Logo or the top header elements as I slide the page smaller.

Anyone have an idea why? A bug or human error?

I have compared all of the other layout values and tried various changes to no avail.

I have cracked my desk in half from the banging of my head on it!

Please send glue (for desk) with possible solution if any is known.

Editing layout in one breakpoint adjust all

I have tried all the suggestions, so I don't know what I'm missing. Whenever I edit one of my smaller breakpoints my default breakpoint also adjusts. All elements are nested correctly in the DOM. I click on the name of the breakpoint, the canvas resizes. Overrides to the default style should highlight in purple (breakpoint color) but this is not happening. I have been working on this for two days with no success. Any guidance would be appreciated - except for Check the DOM - did that!

Hi,

By watching the video Import Photoshop CC Assets into Edge Reflow I asked how was it necessary to use Photoshop before Edge reflow and then do an import in Edge reflow?

I mean:

If a designer gives a photoshop model to a developer, this import can be useful.

But if I start from scratch, is not it more appropriate to start my design directly on Edge Reflow? Or in what should I first use Photoshop?

What do you think?

The thing is, since I have started to design my website in the REFLOW, every text that I write in my pages are with a strange bug: for all type of Web font or local font, the text usually appears like that:

Its a portuguese text, but Actually, the text appears with the punctuation in CAPs (like Ç Á), and i have changed and rewritten it in small cap, but it did not work at all.

Is there a way to create one group (for example: a header, footer, nav, sidebar) and use it on all of the pages created? I know you can duplicate, but if you decide to make a change, you have to go back to each page and change them individually. Is there a way to create perhaps a "template" of sorts where you can make one change and it is reflected on all pages using that header/footer?
