Adobe Edge code live preview is not working

I've recently downloaded Adobe Edge Code and noticed that the live preview doesn't work when i edit it and i also checked the source code and sore that it didn't change. The icon in the top right corner is yellow, i am using Windows 7 and Google Chrome.

Can you advise some useful html editors so I can tranfer it Edge to animate. Can you advise some useful html and css editors. I want the html and css to be on tabs.

When i try to make a new file it comes up with a error message it says Error creating file, An error when trying to create the file "name.type". The target directory cannot be modified.

Can you give me a brief summary of publishing on the Adobe server?

Is there a way of using keyboard input in Edge? For example when you press the space-bar it will open a url. This is probaly done though programing.
