Distorted printing of rounded rectangle

Hi,

I have added rounded rectangle shapes to my FrameMaker document. They have a fill and a border using the fill and pen pattern options. We have overlaid a text box on top. We then PDF the document. When we print the PDF on any of our company printers, they look fine, color or B&W. We've sent them to a printer for color printing and are having an issue. The border line on the right-hand side "sometimes" has a bit of a shadow and "sometimes" the line becomes thicker in the center on the longer shapes. Might be hard to visualize, but at any rate, the line does not maintain a consistent thickness on this particular printer. I don't have the specifications on the printer at this point. Has anyone seen this type of distortion, and if so, is there a fix to the problem? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Dawn

FrameMaker 9, XP SP3

I'm doing a copy/paste special of French text from Word into Frame and the symbols are coming in as quotes instead. I do have my system set up for the French Canadian Language along with the paragraph and character styles set to French Canadian.:

« Protection des renseignements sur les titulaires »

Thanks!

.

Shaded, rounded rectangle w/border. HOW?

It's not pretty. also, I've created the shaded rounded rectangle and a slightly larger bordered rectangle (no shade) and grouped them together, but the interior shaded rectangle doesn't quite fill the border on all sides no matter how I size it.

Isn't there a way to do this automagically?

I'm using FM9.
X7 WinHelp files crashing on compile

One of our locations is encountering this problem: We are
facing a daunting task in the last couple of months to work with
RoboHelp in publishing our WinHelp4 files for our products. The
project crashes when compiling the help files resulting in losing
all the changes which we have done for the current sprint and
previous ones. I tried researching this issue in the Adobe website
and did not find any workarounds. The new tool RoboHelp X7 is
crashing with errors not only on my machine but also on other
machines. As a result, I had to go back to my old version of RH X5.
I generated the compiled help file successfully after cleaning my
machine of the window and office updates. I had to re-install the
Windows XP operating system twice on my machine to get rid of the
new window and office updates. However, this only gave me a small
reprieve to compile the help file for a brief time. But once again
the same problem has re-appeared and I am totally at my wits end
how to resolve this issue with our stated releases in the month of
December 2008. Following is the compile error which leads to the
project crashing.

"Microsoft Help Workshop has encountered an error and needs
to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. if you were in the
middle of something, the information you were working on might be
lost. Please tell Microsoft about this problem..." I'm sure the
error report was not sent to Microsoft. Has anyone encountered this
issue, and if so, can you provide any assistance? Thanks very
much.
