Muse bug? Adding extra to closing body tag on templates

Hey guys, hope all is well!

I just noticed something weird today. Just started happening.

Seems Muse Tablet and Mobile Templates (when applying the {tag_pagecontent} tag) is adding some extra code just before the closing </body> tag. This is what is being written:

Can you please advise what this is? I thought it was a one-off instance, but when re-publishing another site, it showed up again.

Hi guys,

In-Context Editing (ICE) is working out great for my clients! Well done.

However, now that they are using it more, they are asking for more ICE Editing Features:

Bold
Italic
Underline
Style
Font Size
Font Color
Text-Align
Bullets & Numbering
Add Image
Hyperlink (and unlink).

Hopefully this can happen sooner than later : )

British Columbia BC users - how are you dealing with the PST Exemption for Youth Products?

Hi BC Community,

Reaching out to everyone and anyone to help with this. Has anyone had any luck (in British Columbia) dealing with PST Exemption for Youth product? More specifically if a product has a full tax item (12%) and a Youth Exempt Item (5%) in the cart, at the same time.

As you know, if you add to British Columbia Tax Codes (BC-12% and BC-5%) and you have product in your cart, like the above mentioned - the Destination State overrides any product level Tax Codes.

Looking for some help with this one.

My client would like to have their customer's e-mail address appear on the Order Invoice (System E-mails/Invoice). I see that there are no tags available. Has anyone had any luck with a work around for this?

Shipping State Span (Help!)

I am in need of some urgent help in changing the Shipping State Span (i.e. Destination State) to Destination Province/State. I received some JS from another community member (thank you). And it seems to work fine, until you choose a Shipping Option, and/or choose the Destination Province/State. When one these drop down items are chosen, the screen refreshes, but doesn't call the script again.

I am certainly not a JS master by any stretch, so I am looking for some help with this one. Need for it to call this script again, when a shipping option or destination state is chosen. Here is the code I am using:

Hiding catalogs on large product view

Hi BC Community,

Looking for some help with hiding Sub-Catalogues on the Large Product view.

I added this piece of script on the large_product.html file (at the end of the html):

It worked well, except now it conflict with my "Add To Cart" Alert Pop Up Box. I know I can add this to my closing </body> tag, however when doing so on the template, it removes all sub-catalogues from the small product view as well (which I don't want).

Any suggestions on how to hide the Sub-Catalogues on the large-product view would be greatly appreciated.

FYI - "mainShopOverallCat" is my ID I am using for styling my sub-catalogues.

Items per page tag?

Hi guys,

Question - what tag would you render in e-commerce to display a drop down box, that would show items per page... Example, by default 10 products displayed on the page, but you can choose 20 or 50 (similar to what the BC Admin has when you want to filter to view more items all on one page). This I am hoping, I can coincide with the pagination tag.

Hiding Sub-Catalogs on Large Product View

Hi BC Community,

Wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks for hiding (or removing) the Sub-Catalog list from the Large Product.html page (e-commerce). When looking at a detail view of a product, and that particular catalog has say 20 sub-catalogs, the detail view of the individual product is at the bottom of the sub-catalog list (which it should be), but it sucks that you have to scroll to the bottom of the page just to see the individual product.

Any way around this?

Secure Zone Re-entry Link

Hi everyone,

I am working on a client site at the moment, which has over 40 secure zones. Each secure zone has special product and prices. Each secure zone will be accessed by multiple people. However, people in one secure zone will not be able to access another secure zone. This is all easy to figure out.

Customers, while logged in to their secure zone may browse around their own secure zone, they may want to also shop on the regular site, then go back to their secure zone again - my question - how do I create a link that stays on a site template that has their Secure Zone landing page re-entry link? I am trying to avoid having customers have to "log-in" again.

Search Module for adaptive layout

Hi BC Community,

I am creating an adaptive layout site for my client (so, desktop/tablet/mobile versions). I am using the search module in the site design, which is working quite well, however, on the desktop site, it is showing pages from the mobile and tablet sites in the search results.

Does anyone have a work around to solve this issue? For the desktop search results, I just want it to show desktop pages, same goes for tablet and mobile.

Auto-adding prices in shopping cart/checkout

Hello BC Community,

I have a client that wants to be able to add a "recycling fee" & "environmental fee" in the shopping cart area for certain product.

Basically, the workflow would look like this.

Customer views product in the Large Product view Product in Large view is as normal - one price, etc. When they click buy now, it takes them to the cart. On the cart, it shows the item they want to buy, then it ads the recycling fee and environmental fee automatically under the product they want to buy. Again, this does not show up in the Large Product view, only in the shopping cart. The additional fees are included in the Shopping Cart totals, and may or may not be taxed.

So, my question - how would this be done? Can I create attributes for the items, and add that {tag_attributes} to the cart, under the Product Name?? So, for those items that do not have the additional items to be charged, this area would just remain blank.

Customizing Search for Tablet or Mobile only devices

Quick question - I am building a website using an adaptive layout design and I want to be able to have a Search box in the Tablet device and the Mobile Device. Is there a way of setting up the search functionality so that when you are searching for something on the Tablet version of the site, it only queries and shows tablet pages?

FAQ Category Filter?

Hi BC team,

Quick question - I have a lot of FAQ's that i need to add. Each has a category classification. Is there a way of filtering the FAQ's? I noticed that there is a "CATEGORY" filter, but when i click it it brings up: No FAQs found starting with (A).

So, my question - I have classified each of my FAQ's with a category, but how come categories are showing up when I click the FAQ Category filter tab?

Probably missing a step here.

Help with Safari Alignment issue

Having some issues with aligning BC E-commerce product boxes in Safari. Looks fine in Chrome & Firefox, but Safari it is stacking everything container. Tried wrapping the Content Holder in a Div to solve it? Same thing.

E-Commerce Questions

Hi BC Team!

Looking at converting one my clients from their current E-commerce platform, to the BC E-commerce platform, and I have a few questions I need answered:

1. My client wants to build a form that has drop down options with a $ value. So, for instance, item #1 would be $5, item #2 would be $10, item $3 would be $15. When their customer chooses one of these options, it would auto-populate the "amount" field with their drop down item choice (i.e. if they chose item #1, the amount field would say $5) - does anyone have a sample form, or JS snippet they can send me that would be able to do this?

2. Is there a possibility of having more than one Registration - BUY form? Or is BC set up to just have one Registration - Buy form?

3. Are webApps set up to be customized to be an e-commerce item? If so, can we use the same online shop {tags_}? Would it still follow the same checkout process?

4. My client is in British Columbia, and sells kids clothing and footwear which in BC, is exempt from one tax (normal tax is 12%, but kids only pay 5% for apparel and footwear). Is it possible for instance, in Business Catalyst to have a Youth Shoe sold in BC have a tax code specific for BC, but if the person was from Ontario the proper tax could be charged? i.e. Same item sold in BC would be 5% but in Ontario it would be 13%? I guess some JavaScript which would see what Province they were from and would apply that tax code.

I'm sure I'll have more questions - but this is good for now : )

Been pushing for them to convert to Business Catalyst for a few months now and I think I have them convinced : )

My Websites are not showing up on the Creative Cloud Control Panel

Formatting Blogs for Tablet and Mobile

Help with Photogallery Styling

Hi everyone,

Hoping someone can help me ASAP, as I am finishing off a client site soon.

This is in regards to the Photo Gallery Module.

I would like to apply a stroke to the Gallery, as well, be able to change the opacity on the hover state.

Haven't applied the hover state to the CSS yet, but I tried the stroke CSS and it is still not working (taken from Firebug). See below:

E-Mail Issues

Hi guys,

My client has been complaining of e-mail issues - they are running on Outlook, on a PC, and they get intermittent pop up's saying the server has timed out, or it is requesting a username/password update.

Tried Tech Support and they said everything was running fine.

However, now that I think about it, my e-mail is doing similar things - where from time to time it will ask me to update my e-mail username/password due to Internal Server Issues (see attached screen shot).

I need to be able to provide my client with answers and solutions to these issues ASAP. I have been refereing people to Business Catalyst for all sites I build, but I am not an IT guy, nor have I factored in IT servicing into my quote with my client - so this IT work is costing me money!

Please help ASAP!

Web Fonts not being applied to some mobile devices

Hi guys,

Just noticed this morning that my site I created in Muse - www.canadaslargestsoccerstore.com is having some font issues on a Blackberry phone and Ipod. The web fonts are not being applied and are being defaulted to Arial,Helvetica. This is of course causing major layout issues for the mobile version of the above mentioned site.

I checked it on an IPhone 4S and IPhone 5 and everything looks fine.

Please advise how to correct this (eg. work arounds). I am using Muli as the Content Text and Bebas Neue for Headline Text.

New E-mail Campaign toolbar

Stupid question,

But in the previous version of the E-mail Marketing Campaign/Newsletter... I (or my client) could click an image, and add attributes to it (i.e. tooltip, and more importantly a hyperlink!), but now when you click an image it automatically pops up an Edit Image Box. I see you can add a new image, and tool tip, cool... but what about adding a hyperlink to that image?

Also, where the heck is the tool for modifying text size???

I know how to edit in the Code format... but for my clients, they shouldn't be messing around with the code! Am I blind... where is the the font editor located?

Having troubles CSS Styling the News / Details Layout page

I am having some difficulties styling the News/Details Layout Page. Seems to be no problem styling the Blog Details Layout and the FAQ Details Layout, and even the News List Layout.

My clients website - www.getoutofdoors.com, click on the Events Page, and click on any news article... you'll see that the list layout is formatting nicely with Josefin Sans font.

Here is the code I am using in FAQ Module Templates / Detail Layout:

Secure Area Log In

Hi BC community!

One of my clients deals in Projects/Tenders and needs to be able to send project/tender page links to potential vendors. I have set up everything in BC no problem using the following:

Creating a Specific Category per project/tender

Creating a Specific Secure Zone per project/tender

Creating Modules (News and Media Downloads) per project/tender (classified by a category)

Creating a Contact with a Username/Password (and subscribed to the above Secure Zone project/tender).

Creating a Page that is secured by a Secure Zone, and includes the above mentioned modules.

Now, what I am doing is having my client give the page link to the vendors with a specific username/password as inputed in the CRM.

However, what I would like to do, is have one single Log-In page on the site, that when they enter the username/password for the project/tender it takes them to their specific project/tender page. Is there a way of manipulating the Secure Zone Log-in form so that it picks up the Username and Password and drives them to a specific page? My client would prefer to have this method, rather than just sending out page links.

Need help with News Module

Hi BC Team,

I am in need of some help with a NEW Module.

The news section on the front page is based on a Category Classifcation "Club News", as a sub-header in a "Announcement" Category I created.

I am wanting to only show 3 results per page... and my module I am playing with does not seem to to be working - here is what I have:

Drop Down Menu Bug

Seems on previous versions of Muse, drop down menus (from a horizontal menu), when in the inactive state (so hidden) would not block out content which sit directly underneath the drop down menu.

With the new version of muse, it seems as through the drop down menu, when inactive does cover the content.

Site: www.portmoodysoccer.com, ref: navigation bar, and the manual-menu, "COACHES" in the hidden state, blocks out my widget inside the "Club Notice Board" only the "weather" and "Coaches Notice" buttons.

Maybe it was like this on previous releases... but I'm pretty sure I was still able to activate content under an in-active drop down area.

Help with site....

Argh... my client site Green Home Mechanical.ca has a bug! Hoping to not have to re-build the entire site!!!!! My customer asked me this morning to remove a Vendor logo from the site, no problem. Go to publish and the Accordion Box I had at the top of the page, as a header, which when closed, sucked the entire site up and when opened, pushed everything down, is now not happening?@! It was working fine up until my publish this morning.

Unfortunately, because I published it, you can't tell what I mean, as it is not correct.... argh.... any solutions?

The stay connected bar was supposed to be there, when clicked, pushes everything below down... now it is not working.

Integrating Typekit fonts into BC Blogs and News

Hi guys,

Wondering what is the best way of integrating Typekit fonts into the BC Blog and News modules - more so on the layout/details of blogs and news.

I can easily do it on my website when I add the blog & news modules, but CSS overrides, but when you click on the blog or news link, it just stays in whatever BC web font is available.

Any tricks for this? I am using Josephin font on my clients site, and he wants this for his blog and news articles as well.

Site Search Module Re-Direct

Help with CSS overrides of BC Modules, using Muse

Hi guys,

I am hoping someone at Adobe can help me. I have been getting good at figuring out CSS overrides for HTML code in Muse... but can't seem to figure out the code for overriding BC Modules.

For instance, I want to modify the text color, font size for the {module_breadcrumb}... but can't seem to get the correct code. What I put in, usually changes the font on the entire page, and I only want to modify the module.

Hoping someone from the Muse team can get back to me ASAP! I built a website in Muse, using the Beta version... I have the new, live version of Muse, but when I opened the file today, to make an update for the customer, it came up with an error. Customer is wanting the file updated today!!! HELP!!!!
