Live Preview not working

When I run Live Preview with Google Chrome 33.0.1750.152 it tells me

Live Preview Error : Unable to load Live Development page

My version of Edge Code is up to date. I've opened the files as a folder. I was going through the tutorial which shows that the preview updates as you type but mine only updates when I save, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of using Edge.

Any suggestions? I'm running on a Mac Pro with OS X 10.9.2

Why does ADE work on desktop but not Kobo?

My wife bought a Kobo touch mainly to read books borrowed from the library. The process of downloading, converting and then transfering an eBook into the Kobo is pretty absurd in my view, but for the first few books it did work. Then the most recent book said the book "wasn't authorized with this Adobe ID". I thought that was strange because the Adobe ID shown in the account setting was her ID.

So I deauthorized her Adobe ID and tried again. We set up the Kobo from scratch and it said exactly the same thing.

When viewed inside Adobe Digital Editions, the book shows up as being valid. The expiry date is three weeks in the future. It can be opened and read. It shows up listed in the eReader section of ADE. But on the actual device the book shows as invalid.

Curious, I did a factory reset of the Kobo. Same thing.

Now getting really frustrated, I did another factory reset and created my own account. I borrowed a book from the library, downloaded it and authorized it with ADE. It shows that the book is valid. It can be read on the desktop version of ADE. But when loaded onto the Kobo, it says the book "isn't authorized with this Adobe ID." Again I double checked the ID and it is correct.

I'm using a Mac Pro. She's using a 27" iMac. Here's a screenshot showing the ADE info:

There is clearly no lock, nor problem with number of computers, because I've only authorized the one computer and device. This is getting beyond ridiculous. Does anyone know what's going on?

How to release PSD CS5 memory to unmount drive?

Does anyone know a quick trick to force Photoshop CS5 to release its memory so that you can unmount a drive containing files you were working on? Even after I close all the windows, I can never unmount the drive because it thinks that Photoshop still has a file in use. Worse, I usually don't even have the option to force eject the drive. That means I have to quit Photoshop just to unmount the drive. This is sooo frustrating. Any solution that will make this less painful?

How to nudge text in Photoshop CS5?

I've always used the keyboard arrow keys to nudge a piece of text in Photoshop. Now in CS5, I get a message that I can't nudge the layer unless I rasterize it first. But I can't find a setting to change this back to the way it has always worked. Can someone point me to the solution?

CS5 and DW curly quotes

I just upgraded from CS4 to CS5. Dreamweaver used to convert curly quotes to the proper UTF encoding when you typed them in. For example, if you typed the Option-Shift-leftbracket keys you would get “ in your code. This no longer happens with CS5. It properly converts straight quotes to " but doesn't handle curly quotes or em dashes. Is there a preference or menu command that I don't know about to re-activate this feature? It would be a nightmare to have to convert all high-bit characters, especially since the app used to handle this automatically. I would consider this a major downgrade rather than an upgrade if this feature was lost.
