I am using Robohelp 10. What is the best way to add an option for the user to provide feedback from each topic? I would like it to send it via email from the web server that the helpfile is hosted on. How can I go about achieving this?

Image Quality after Resizing

Is there a way to resize images without losing quality. I currently use SnagIt to capture the images and resize. I then insert the jpg into Robohelp 10 and produce printed documentation in Word.

All of my files have broken links

I have several hundred topics in my project. I just opened the project and all of my topics are showing as broken links. There are no topics listed either in the topics pod or the HTML files (topics) section in the project manager.

How can I get them back without linking each file manually? I tried deleting the .cpd file but still the same.

Is there any way to add security over the published output from a help file

I have Robohelp 10 and am producing Multiscreen HTML5 for online and .chm HTML files for offline help.

I would like to know if there is any way to add security over the published output.

Besides adding access permissions on the server hosting the help file, is there any way to stop unauthorized access to the help files themselves?

Ideal would be to only allow access to the help file from within the software we develop. What is the best way to achieve this?

I am running Robohelp 10 and producing Multiscreen HTML 5 output as well as .chm. I am not a web developer but would like to add a topic which allows users to give feedback about the help file. Does anyone have sample HTML code I can use?

I used the code from a previous forum post to add a link at the bottom of each page (see below) but would like a separate form where I can ask specific questions and encourage more feedback.

I have Robohelp 10. Publishing using the Multiscreen HTML5. Is it possible to have a website automatically open and play. For example instead of inserting multimedia/demo, have a linked youtube video automatically play, OR alternatively if I do have to insert the video, can it play automatically without the user clicking on anything?

Alignment of Lists

I have Robohelp 10. When creating a new list style the numbers or bullets are indented from the text in the previous paragraph even though my left margin is 0 and there are no indents set. When creating a new multilevel list, this is not the case and it aligns with the previous text. The only way I can get it to align is to give it a -20px left margin. Problem with that is that it then doesn't display properly in the Design editor and also means all of my images are 20px too far to the right. Is there a way to change a list style to align to the left in the same alignment as the normal text?

Table Style not correct in printed word document

I have Robohelp 10 using a css style file. When I generate printed documentation layout in word, I use the setting to Use the Project's css styles. Everything except the tables are correctly styled in the word doc it produces. I have also tried to create a word template with the same table style name and export using the word template but again everything else is correct but the table style is still different. Anyone have any ideas?

Fonts in Robohelp

If you use a font which doesn't normally ship with windows, will Robohelp substitute the font on the pc that opens it, or will the original font be sent as part of the .chm file?

Combining Robohelp Projects

I have Robohelp 10. I would like to combine two separate robohelp projects into one. Is there any way of doing this? Note I do not want to merge the projects using the merged TOC but rather have one robohelp project instead of two separate ones. How could I go about doing this without importing each html file?

Is there any way of creating a layout which is SCORM compliant?

I have Robohelp 10. Is there a way to resize all images to 80% when creating a word and pdf document. If I create an image style to 80%, it is ignored when creating printed documentation but works for online HTML help.

Anyone else having a problem where Robohelp 10 stops working, particularly when editing in robohelps html view or when adding images. Happens quite frequently ! I can't seem to find any fixes available.

I am using Robohelp 10. Does anyone know if and how to place customized styles from the Styles and Formatting pod into a toolbar? I find it very cumbersome to find the frequently used styles each time and drag them from the Styles and Formatting pod into the document.

Contents Tab Missing

In Robohelp 8 HTML - I am creating a CHM file but only the search tab comes up. Contents tab is missing. Window options are correct because if I use a different TOC, contents tab is there. I have tried recreatng the TOC but same problem. All other TOC compile correctly with contents tab.

TOC - First 2 characters missing

I have Robohelp 8 running locally. I use a word template for printed documentation in word format. In the TOC the first 2 characters are missing i.e. my first topic is Introduction so in the TOC, it shows : troduction........ The rest appears fine. Any ideas ?

I have Robohelp 8.02, 5 conditional builds set up. I have installation steps set up for various products. My knowledge on html code is basic so I use the design window mostly. What is happening is that my numbers from 10 upwards are only showing the 2nd digit so 10 appears as 0, 11 as 1 etc. Can anyone help to fix it ?

Browse button not working

RoboSource caused my windows explorer to frequently restart. I have now uninstalled RoboSource so that problem is resolved but in RoboHelp, I cant use the browse button. The screen just flashes then nothing and I have to end the task to do anything.

Browse button being the "Open" icon to browse the computer for project files in the Starter Screen. Also in the project when you want to browse to insert an image, that folder icon.

I tried to repair the Robohelp installation, didnt work, so I uninstalled and reinstalled. Still same problem. Running Robohelp 8.02. Anybody with ideas ?

When compiling Printed documentation, Robohelp 8.02 just hangs at :

Completed building chapters...

Updating list paragraphs...

Can't Cancel and doesnt carry on. Have to end task after 15 mins on a very small project.

Any ideas ?

HTML view appears spread out - spaced

Dont know what has happened but HTML view has changed on all my projects. It appears spread out and wherever I put the cursor a space of a few characters appears. Below sample (copy and paste and spaces disappear) Design view is perfect. HTML view is corrupted somehow, I think.

Just a whole lot of extra spaces where spaces are. Anybody with any ideas ??
