Stylesheet not displaying in Project Manager pod

Hi all,

My stylesheet has decided it no longer wants to display within Robohelp. It used to display in Project Files > stylesheets and in Windows Explorer it still does, however in Robohelp, the folder "looks" empty.

I've tried changing between the two Project Manager views and checked the Show/Hide Files dialog box which has stylesheets ticked. I've tried deleting the cpd file.

The previous author had issues with it vanishing on occasion, but it always returned, I think after rebooting, usually. But I tried this too, in conjunction with deleting the cpd and still no luck getting it to show.

I know I can open it with through Windows Explorer in Notepad, and I know I can go into Topic Properties and click the Edit button when I want to open the style editor, but it's much quicker to use the right-click menu

Does anyone have any ideas about coaxing my shy stylesheet back?

Hide search highlight once in a topic?

RH version: 11.0.0.179

SSL: Multiscreen HTML5 - Desktop screen profile only

IE version: 9

Is there a built-in widget/thing to add a button to a topic to hide the search highlighting? To be clear, I want the search highlight on, but I want users to be able to turn it off once they have found the topic they need. I've done a little searching in the help and online, so I suspect there isn't, but want to make sure.

If there isn't a built-in function, does anyone know if there is a way to add my own button/javascript? I can read other's code and do a little bit of scripting, but only really basic stuff.

Opening a browser window from a CHM (Win7)

Hi All,

I'm having a problem where a script we've had for years to open a special window (sized, no browser buttons, etc) for certain content is no longer working correctly in Windows 7.

Here is the script:

WinXP & Vista: a link within a CHM correctly opens a new window with only scroll bars, and resizable, with the specified dimensions (e.g. u_width=500, u_height=700)

Win7: a link opens in a regular browser window with full menus, etc and not sized to the specified dimensions. An error also displays in the CHM file.

CHM error message (snippet): 'newWin' is null or not an object.

A developer managed to get the CHM error to go away by adding if (newWin != null) above the focus() line.

He also managed to prove that the problem only exists within CHMs. When the same javascript is used in plain HTML, the window is called correctly, as per the WinXP & Vista example above.

Does anyone know how to get my script working in Win7 so that it is sized correctly and doesn't have the menus/buttons?

Acrobat X Pro: Configuration error when viewing pdfs

Hi all,

A colleague is having problems viewing pdfs in Acrobat X Pro. After a fresh install, things are fine for a while, then after some random time, when he opens a pdf, he can view the pdf for a few seconds, then the following error pops up and and Acrobat stops working.

Configuration error

Please uninstall and reinstall the product.

If this problem still occurs, please contact Adobe technical support for help and mention the error code shown at the bottom of this screen.

Error: 6

Anyone have any ideas what's causing this and how to resolve?

Update: version is 10.1.0

Also, the error occurs when just opening Acrobat, without opening a pdf at the same time.

Published browser-based airhelp does not work

Hi All,

I'm currently experimenting with Airhelp output in RH8, and am having problems with the publishing step.

I have a test project which I generate in browser based airhelp format. When I View this, or open the start page, it loads fine and I see the skin, TOC, contents, etc.

When I Publish that output and open the start page, I just get a plain grey/green background with no content. As I'm testing, I just selected File System and am publishing to a separate folder on my C drive, not to an actual webserver.

Any ideas what might be going wrong with my publishing step?

Missing discussion - cannot find using search

I'm trying to find a thread from July/August last year. I have a couple of RSS feed records about the thread, but not the whole thing.

Title "Missing HTM" in the Robohelp Webhelp forum.

Contains keywords: "Administrative Rights" "start page"

The thread doesn't show up in my search even though I've checked to ensure "All" is selected for time period.

Any ideas?
