Problem with compiling AIR with Embed (font) tag

Hi,

I have an application developed for AIR. When I compile it without the fonts that I need to embed it is compiled without problems when I add the Embed tags then it compiles but when it is running it can not be used, the input text fields cannot be accessed.

Has anybody encountered this problem? What could be the possible reasons?

Here is an example of how I embed the fonts.

[Embed(systemFont="FreeSans", embedAsCFF='false', fontName="FreeSansEmbed", mimeType="application/x-font")]

Problem loading files from inside an swf in newer versions

Hi,

I have the following problem: My swf loads xml files to display content, for some reason with version in Firefox 12.0 with flashplayer11_2r202_235_win_32bit there is no problem, but with newer version the files do not load and I get an IOEventError but if I use exactly the same url in the web browser I can access the file.

Does anybody know any reason why this could be happening?

How do I know my serial number in Flash Builder?

The company that I work for has more than one serial numbers for Flash Builer.

I am formating my computer and before I do so I want to know which of the serial numbers is mine. How can I find this out?

Should I use a shared library?

Hi,

This is the setup. I am working in two different applications, one to be compiled for desktop use (AIR) and one to be compiled for the web. They are part of the same project and use the same visual components, but they are completely different apps. When a visual component is changed in one application then it should also change in the other one.

Is this a good situation to use a shared library fla?

I am new to the concept of shared libraries and I am considering the options.

On one had I would not have to update 2 applications everytime I change something, on the other, I would always have to recompile the library folder when I do the smallest changes to a component.

Could you give me your opinion in this?

Zend_AMF and NetConnection: Non descriptive error

Hi,

I am trying to make a simple call from my flash to Zend_AMF in a flash file. I am calling the same server function in Flex and it works but not from the flash. I have been trying to find the solution for 3 days now so any help is wellcome

Embed tag for Fonts in AS3 "exception during transcoding"

Hi,

I have the following problem, I am embeding a font in a project with the embed tag and I get the following error "exception during transcoding".

[Embed(source="D:/repo/docs/fonts/FreeSans.ttf", fontFamily="Free Sans", fontWeight = 'regular', mimeType = 'application/x-font')] public var auxFont:String;

I had this same error in Flex but I found that adding "-managers flash.fonts.AFEFontManager" in the properties of the project, ActionScript compiler, Additional compiler arguments took care of it.

I need to compile this project with the Flash compiler and not Flex is there any place in Flash that I can add that argument?

AIR 1.1 vs AIR 1.5 problem with z

Hi,

This is my problem, I am developing a software with AIR, until now I was publishing it with AIR 1.1 and since I upgraded Flash CS4 to version 10.0.2 I can only publish with 1.5 and here is where my problems started.

I have a class that inherits from MovieClip where I had created a z property (with its function get and function set), apparently now this property is used by MovieClip and it is in conflict with my code.

I tried using override but it says that it is illigal. so I changed the name of the functions to depth but when I run the program it still says that my class is illegaly overriding the function when there is no more metion to z anymore.

Does anybody know why this is?

Is there any solution?

If not how can I publish with AIR 1.1?
