Photoshop CC not saving when I ask and letting me close the file without warning

Is anyone having problems with saving on Photoshop CC? Quite often it has happened to me that I will hit Command+S, but I won't see the saving bar at the bottom of the document, and if I then close the document it won't prompt me to save, but if I close the file it won't be saved. If before I close the file I go to the File menu, the "Save" option is grayed out (as if I had just saved), but the file is not saved. If I close the file, I loose all my work. Anyone having this issue also? I have a friend that is also having the same problem...

Creative Cloud tells me there's an update for PS CC, I install the update, but version stays same

So yesterday the Creative Cloud app tells me there is an update for Photoshop CC. I install the update, it tells me it was installed fine, I go to see the version number and it says 14.1.2 (which is what I thought I had before, but wasn't sure). So today it tells me again there is an update, I install it again and look at the version number afterwards and it again says 14.1.2

Is Photoshop being updated but keeping the version number or is the CC app just making me install over and over again?

How to turn off the brush transparency view when resizing the brush on CC?

So, when Adobe introduced the "brush preview" when using the Control+Option drag to change the brush size/hardness (not sure if it's called this way), I was ecstatic! It made my workflow much faster without having to go to the menu to change the brush size or to the bracket keys. Now on CS6 they added a feature that basically broke that for me. Now it not only shows the size/hardness, but it also shows the transparency. It sounds like a great idea, and it is when you work with bigger opacities, but I work a lot with opacities below 10% and it basically becomes invisible, so it's hard to know if I'm using a hard/soft brush when adjusting the brush size. Is there a way to turn just the transparency preview off?

Thanks!

What is this outline on the Photoshop window?

So I have noticed a couple of times that all of a sudden I have this weird white outline on the inside border of the photoshop window. It's not on the file and it happened to a couple of different files. If I close the file and open again, it's gone. Any ideas what it is and how to get rid of it?

Thanks!

Andre

Bug on display rendering?

I get this fairly constant, mainly when working on a mask. Depending on the zoom level I'm in, pieces of the image will overlap the mask. The only way to make it disappear is to zoom out a couple of times until it disappears, but if I zoom back in it appears again, so it's quite annoying because it makes me unable to work on the zoom level that I need sometimes. Here is a screenshot of what I am talking about, anyone has the same problem? Any ideas on how to make it go away?

12.0.1 update not fixing icon preview?

I was disappointed to find out that the bug where Photoshop doesn't save the image preview on the icon was not fixed with the 12.0.1 update. We work with sometimes 20 photos on one job folder, and having to refer to them by filename (which normally is something like 100509_shot5_15268) is very frustrating.

Anybody have any workaround for this? I know that I can open the file that doesn't have the preview and do a Save as with a different name and most of the time it will then create the icon preview, but that involves opening the file, saving it with a different name, deleting the old one and then renaming the new one as the old one (not to mention that it can take minutes to open and save the file)

Andre

How to create a website that the client can update?

I am looking into getting Dreamweaver CS4 and am wondering if this is something that can be done with Dreamweaver alone or do I need some other application/type of code/programming to do that?

Basically what I need to do is very simple website with five or six pages that the client can change a couple of things on the opening page alone. The other pages won't be changed. Only an area of the opening page, something like a "News Board" where the client can post the latest news/what's happening. Preferably this should be done right on the browser, where the client would log on to a certain address and would just input the new "News Bulletin". Is it possible in Dreamweaver alone or do I need something else? Is Flex what I need? Or do I need a completely different thing?

I'm pretty knowledgeable in HTML but not in programming/integration.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Andre
