API Suggestion: More country specific shipping options

I'm wondering if there are any plans to integrate more shipping options. In my case, for Canada.

Canada Post has a developer program here http://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/developers/home

and Purolator has developer integration details here http://www.purolator.com/en/resources-and-support/resources/technology-centre/integration- solutions/ews.page?

I see that UPS Service dropdown already includes Standard to Canada service and I assume that's because the system knows the site is in Canada. It would be nice to have some other popular Canadian options, and not be presented with irrelevant options like USPS and Australia Post.

Featured Product scroller no longer scrolls

Hi, I asked this in "Content Management and Modules", but perhaps it should go in this section

I have implemented the {module_productfeaturelist,featured,10,weight} on the homepage of my site http://provowire.businesscatalyst.com/

I have about 15 or so products with the "featured" tag, and the scroller was working fine. I'm not sure when it stopped working, but it no longer scrolls. I've tried it in various browsers both on Mac and Android ICS. Don't have a Windows install to try.

Anybody else noticing this with their own site, or can reproduce the problem on my site?

Canadian BC users, how are you dealing with HST, GST and PST/QST?

Hi, I'm new here and I've been building my first BC eCommerce site for a client for almost a year. It's a business to business site, dealing with about 5000 SKUs. It's currently in trial mode, and we're about to go live with it. I have a problem with taxes I hoped I'd be able to sort out, but haven't found a solution.

My client's head office is in Ontario and they sell from there, and also from Quebec, though online sales will be limited from Ontario for now. Ontario, like B.C., where I am, and a number of other provinces have HST. The remaining provinces have GST and PST/QST, except Alberta, which only has GST. My client sells thoughout Canada, and also to the U.S.

Scenario 1) When one sells from an HST province to a customer in another HST province, the seller must collect and remit the HST for the buyer's province. For example, I work from B.C. with 12% HST, and my client has 13% HST in Ontario. I have to invoice them for my services, collecting and remitting 13% HST.

Scenario 2) When one sells from any province to a customer in a non-HST province other than Quebec, the seller charges GST and is encouraged, and depending on the province they are selling to, required, to register for that province's PST and collect and remit that tax as well. Otherwise the customer is required to self-assess the PST on the purchase.

Scenario 3) When one sells from any province to a customer in Quebec, they must apply the GST to the purchase, and then apply the QST (Quebec Sales Tax) to that total. Again, out of province sellers are expected to collect and remit the QST.

Scenario 1 is fine. Currently I've set up all HST provinces with their corresponding rate.

Scenario 2 is problematic from a legal taxation standpoint. I've set up all GST+PST provinces and Quebec with 5% GST only. This will not be acceptable to my client as their sales volumes are quite high and they have to remit other province's PST.

Scenario 3 seems impossible on BC, but will become a lesser problem until January 2013, when Quebec changes to Scenario 2 (i.e. the QST will no longer piggy-back the GST but will be raised so there is no change to the total tax)

Further, most businesses will want to see the GST and PST appear separately on the invoice, not calculated together as seems to be the case now.

Has anyone managed to set up GST and PST/QST in the system, so both taxes appear in the cart/checkout process, and separately on the invoice?

BUG: {module_title} displays ID value again

Hi, the previous bug fix from R182 System Update in December:

3078126

{module_title} displays the title ID instead of the customer's title e.g. Mr, Mrs, etc

The bug has reappeared today (e.g. displays 1325780 instead of "Mr.") (possibly something that changed in yesterday/today's maintenance?)

ERROR Creating Web Form with "Create Sales Opportunity" checked

When I create a new web form and choose to "Create Sales Opportunity" I get an error upon saving:

"- Probability (%) must be a number and may contain a decimal point.

- Amount must be a number and cannot be empty."

Feature suggestion: Unit increment values with increment/decrement buttons

I would like to see a way to specify unit increments, in addition to minimum and maximum, so that if there is a minimum unit order, incrementing the order (with buttons perhpas) would double/triple etc. the minimum amount.

This is my specific situation:

The client sells, among other things, spools of wire and cable, priced by the meter, but sold by the spool.

They may have 2 to 4 types of spools for any given type of wire (spools of 150m and 300m for example), but listed under the same SKU in their proprietary inventory system. They used to have a different SKU for each spool type, but no longer.

The price on the site and in the cart shows the unit price (say $1 per meter) but the minimum order is 150m, so the line total would be $150

The customer can only buy the wire in 150m increments. They can't order 160m without buying a 300m spool, or order 325m without buying 450m, for example

There doesn't seem to be a way to stop a customer from entering in any value above 150 in the order process. (say 151 or 10,346).

I've considered creating artificial SKUs with their own quantities and doing product groupings or inventory variations but that doesn't really solve the problem.

I'd like a way for the customer to increment/decrement by 150 in this example, and/or a back-end check to see if the amount ordered is a multiple of 150.

Thoughts?
