Are There Expandable Text Fields?

Okay, am new to Acrobat and LiveCycle. I have gone through about 9 hours of videos and still can not find an answer to what I know I should be able to do. Is there a way on a form to create a text field which has the ability to expand its size versus creating a scroll bar so when you print the form it is not chopped off and missing? This is a 2 page form so a text box has the possibiltiy it could split between 2 pages.

I know I have seen this in the discussion threads but can no longer find it. I want to add on to my "Save As" button to have it choose two field values to automatically generate a name for the file to be saved. Specifically using the name and date a person enters on the form.

Can you set up drop down menus with multiple line capability?

I am putting together a performance review tool and instead of just a rating to pull down the team wants the rating and a sentence or two to populated. When I try to put in a longer statement adding it to the list it get cut off or stops after so many characters. Is there a way to make it work so it shows allthetext regardless of length? Thois is a dynamic PDF form create in LiveCycle.

Sending form data to a spreadsheet or Db

After creating a usable form I would like to now have the informaiton from the form be importable to an Excel file or Db. I can create the xml or xdp file with a button on the form and send it to the person who will be organizing all the information. When I open the xml or xdp file with excel instead of having one row with many columns, Excel creates a new row for each item so the information form one form is in multiple rows in a diagonal pattern. I have tried searching forums but found nothing on this can anyone point me in the right direction?

Performing Math Calculations on A Form

I have a performance review form I want to do some basic math and have no idea where to start. I looked in the help section for FormCalc and can't make heads or tails out of it. Does anyone know where I can watch, download or read some resource to understand how I could get the form to multiply two different numeric fields to get a number.

Do you make reference to the object somehow in formcalc to say multiple this field by that field. I can do it in Excel in a snap but the new language is throwing me off. Heres what it would look like in an excel sheet for the formulas.

The areas where the numbers would be put in by the user would be numeric fields or a drop down list. The form itself is attached as well.

Limiting entries in a numeric field

How do you pull up the properties box for a numeric field so you can enter in a validation pattern to limit what a person can enter. In this case I want users to onlybe able to enter integers from 0 to 110?

I saw some instructions regarding pulling up a numeric field properties box but i do not know how to do that first protion.

Mathematical Functions in a Table

I have a 6x1 table and in one of the cells I want to create a formula that multiplies two items together to form a total that automatically calculates as you enter in numbers. In this case it is multiplying the "Goal 1 Weight" by "Percentage Achieved" to acquire "Weighted Score"

Later on in the form I will want to pull in the 6 weighted scores and sum them up as well. I know this is poissible in either Java or FormCalc, thanks for any help!

Expanding text boxes to multiple pages

I have a dynamic form with expanding text boxes that I originally designed on one page. As I put in the needed items it was clear to have it fit I would need to go to a second page to have everything needed. When it is the first page alone the preview pdf works properly automaticallly moving the overflow to the next page. When the second page is inserted to finsih the form the areas not fitting on the first page when typed into the preview fall off into space and you can no longer see them. I've treid moving around the heirarchy and have not figured it out. Does anyone know hoi to fix this? Is it possible to have a 2 page dynamic form that expands?

Save As Button

Does anyone have a working model of a save as button? I know from reading posts that the correct Javascript for it is app.execMenuItem("SaveAs").

It is sometimes easier for me to backwards enigneer something from a working model to where I understand it, does that make me a reverse kinesthetic learner?? When I put a button on the page in LC and choose executable I can not find where to place the script.

Of course I may be totally lost or off base I am a complete novice other than some video training and no one else in my company has used this before. Any help is greatly appreciated.
