problems upgrading raw converter for cs6

I have a cs6 license and recently had an update applied to the raw converted to handle my sony a7s. I also wanted to upgrade the raw converted for my cs6 version on an mac I use at a second home. It did do an upgrade but not high enough to deal with the new camera.

I'm on a mac mini running osx 10.6.8. When I try to open a sony arw file in camera raw if gives a dialog box indicating it can't open the file and gives a link to a spread sheet showing the minimum version of camera raw of 8.5 to open the a7s arw file. If I look at the version of camera raw I'm using I get 7.0.0.308. To do an update for the raw converter while I am in bridge I go to help and use the update item. I did an update to 7.0.0.308 when I originally ran the update option but hat is obviously not high enough to deal with the sony arw files. I basically did the same thing on my main computer and had no problem.

Any ideas?

Since I'm having trouble with my new cs5 suite I was wondering if there were updates for bridge from my old cs4. I need an update to support a new camera.

bridge & ps 5 crashes

I just updated from cs4 to cs5 and I've been experiencing crashes when doing some rather basic things. In bridge I've been getting crashes when I select multiple raw images. One or two raw files usually open but trying more than two frequently causes bridge to crash. I have submitted crash reports but was just wondering if this is something that has been seen before. I've got the latest of everything and the raw files are from a new nikon d7000. Sometimes it just crashes and sometimes it display the images but with strange overlaps and then crashes. Seems to happen pretty consistently. I'm also getting the same crashes with dng files.

My other problem is with ps5. I've just started trying the new version but consistently get problems when I try to drag the image window to a larger size. It will grow for a bit and then throws up a bunch of what I would call window headers (bars with red, yellow, green bottons). After this things are pretty unpredictable and have gotten a couple of crashes. The image is no longer displayed, just the header bars.
