Captivate 8 Responsive: Optimization Recommendations?

I have been creating responsive CP 8 SCORM 1.2 courses with a Moodle 2.7 back-end, and I have been receiving reports that the LMS API errors indicating trouble communicating, and that content has been slow albeit not the best of broadband speed. (I have been trying to view my responsive mobile courses on my iPhone 4 safari and it does not work that well either.) I am wondering if there are some recommendations to improve performance in these situations? Does server location also have to do with it as well?

Captivate 8 Responsive: Text - Bullet points do not align properly when published.

As per the following screen captures, bullet points align themselves properly in authoring mode, but when published, they do not.

CP8 Importing audio introduces sound artifact

When I import audio into my slide, I hear a faint artifact at the end... (something like a click or a beep.) I've tried playing around with it in Audition, or in Captivate. It seems that I need to delete the whitespace (silence) at the end of the audio, but I am not convinced. Am I using incorrect settings in my wav format?

Suggestions?

I am trying to have a fade-in text effect via the "Color Effect" feature; but none of these options (as per screen capture below: "Alpha", "AlphaFromTo", "Set Alpha") are working for me.

Any suggestions?

I typically use my OS drive (C:\) for my OS and place all my programs and assets on the (D:\) drive. Is there a way to install them somewhere else?

Hi,

I am reusing Dan Carr's AIR browser sample application (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/flash/articles/air_browser_sample_application.html http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/flash/articles/air_browser_sample_application.html), but I am having a problem where I cannot type certain keyboard keys (specificially lowercase "e", "f", "h" - this takes me to the home page, "l" - also takes me to the home page, but I think it is reloading the default page, and "r").

I am suspecting that the HTMLLoader instance (or something related to it) is intercepting these keyboard presses. Is there a way to disable these KeyboardEvents in the webkit browser so that I can have full access to my keyboard?

Captivate 6 crashes after launch

I installed Captivate 6 (64bit) on my machine. However, after the Captivate 6 box was displayed, a square white box appears and then the program does not launch.

My machine specs:

OS: Windows 7 Professional 64bit

Memory: 8 GB

CPU: Core I7 2.67 MHz

Other options?

Dreamweaver CS3 FTP Error: Cannot make connection to host

I have Windows Vista with a new purchase of Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 Web Premium. I am a regular Dreamweaver user since version 2. But this FTP situation still baffles me.

1. I have set up all my FTP parameters as usual and have tried to use "Passive FTP" and the "Secure FTP" settings, but to no avail
2. I tried to FTP via explorer and do have access to my hosting service. The problem lies related to Dreamweaver itself.
3. I tried to check to see if my Windows Firewall would affect it, but it is included in the firewall exception list.

I checked the other forum listings related to this problem, and one of them mentions about the 60 second issue. I also checked my site preferences and it is set to 60.

I don't want to use Cute FTP. I've been using Dreamweaver for all these years and found it annoying to get another program just for this. I am hoping to resolve this issue here on the forums so that other Dreamweaver CS3 users can use FTP to upload their site.

Eclipse Helios: Is the Flash Builder 4 plugin supported?

Two questions:

1) I recently discovered that a new version of eclipse has been released codenamed: Helios. I am wondering if anyone had any issues with installing the latest Flash Builder plugin?

2) Should I run off the 32 bit version of eclipse or can I use the 64 bit version?

Retain Metadata when compling from Flash Professional (CS4-CS5)?

I am forced to click on the "Export for SWC" check box in the publish settings in order to retain

my metadata tags in my AS3 code. Is there an alternate route? In Flash Builder, you can add complier arguments

-keep-as3-metadata?

The video controls do not appear in Firefox, but the controls do appear in IE 8.

I would like to try out Flash Lite development on a Samsung device. Does anybody know. Actually I am wondering the latest YP-T10 has Flash Lite on it?

As a general comment, maybe Adobe can provide a list of devices that uses Flash Lite so that developers can find out and purchase one for testing purposes.

How do you disable the Flash player auto-update feature?

The reason why I want to disable this is because my client does not have admin privileges and gets the autoupdate feature dialog box. Since they are at an enterprise level company, only the IT people can have the privileges of updating the player.

After scouring the web, all I could find is this html doc:

describes how an IT person can disable the auto-update feature via mss.cfg file, but this is not what I need.

I looked at the flash security white paper in versions 7,8, and 9 ( http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/flash_player_8_security.pdf, http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/flash_player_9_security.pdf) which mentions

FlashPlayer.autoUpdate

Is this actionscript code and how is it used? Like this: FlashPlayer.autoUpdate = false or: FlashPlayer.autoUpdate(false)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
