Detect selected font (Illustrator/InDesign)

I'm writing an ActionScript / JavaSctipt extension for Illustrator and InDesign.

I created a text frame with some standard text written in it. BUT I need the font of the text to match the font that is currently selected in Illustrator/InDesign.

To my knowledge whenever you launch Illustrator or InDesign, they always select 'Myriad Pro' to begin with. Furthermore, CSHostAdapter has CURRENT_FONT_CHANGED event, however, I cannot find out which font (and font size for that matter) it was actually changed to. Is there any way to find out which font is currently selected in Illustrator or InDesign?

Any ideas and suggestions are welcome.

window size gets shrinked

I'm writing an extension for Adobe Illustrator and I encountered a problem with the size of the extension panel.

The problem is:

If I alt+tab (or loose the focus in any other way) while Illustrator is launching, once I open Illustrator my extension panel size is shrinked to extremely small numbers (approximately 2x2 or something similar).

This only happens if I set minHeight, minWidth and maxHeight maxWidth. It does not matter if I set it up in Bundle Manifest, or in <csxs:CSXSWindowedApplication declaration.

Another strange thing is that, when i do not specify min and max size settings (thus my extension is completely resizable, and launches correctly event if i was alt+tabed while launching Illustrator),

the function:

var winGeom:WindowGeometry = new WindowGeometry();

winGeom.width = 500;

winGeom.height = 700;

CSXSInterface.getInstance().requestStateChange(StateChangeEvent.WINDOW_RESIZE, winGeom);

does NOT resize the panel.

P.S. how to make your panel window not resizable? The way i'm doing it is setting minWidth, maxWidth and minHeight, maxHeight to the same numbers. Are there any better solutions?

getting different type coercion errors

Sorry for a noob question, but I've just started working with Javascript yesturday, and I need to solve my problem fast.

I'm writing an Illustrator plug-in, and some of the code (creating Illustrator object) is done in Javascript. when debugging with ExtendScript Toolkit, the script works fine, however, when debuging with Extension builder, I get some errors, which i don;t know how to solve. Below is a part of my script. Comented are the error which i get.

need UNDO command to undo multiple objects at once

I'm writing an Illustrator plugin (in actionscript, no C code) that creates a group object and then adds some path items to it. The problem I have is as follows:

If the user tries to UNDO (Ctrl+Z) what my plugin has done, Illustrator will undo each pathItem seperately. I need to mek it undo ALL the pathItems that the plugin have created at once. Can you guide me into the right direction to do it?

I'm using mx:NumericStepper (I'm forced to use flex 3.4) but I cannot achieve the desired behavior.

I want the stepper to have step of 1 when using the arrows, but still take in any real number (like '1.36' or '0.5') as input.

Is it possible to do in flex 3.4?
