what size to make stage for ios phone devices

OK this may sound like a really stupid question and it probably is.... my apologies in advance.

I have successfully created an iOS app for the iPad but want to make a phone version now... what size should I make my stage for it? I want it to work on iphone 5 and 4 series?

Any quick advice?

Hello all..

I successfully developed and deployed an iPAD app for a client towards the middle of last year. Then the client made a few small changes and by the time I made the changes iTunes changed half their policies etc.. That was a nightmare to figure out but i did manage to successfully upload the app again.

Now I have just completed my own app - It workd beautifully on my iPad in developer mode.... Getting it onto itunes using Application Loaded takes literally hours (the app is 29Mb) and then it bombs out with the following error:

* Unable to authenticate package: 813241948.itmsp

*ERROR ITMS-9000: "the Bundle identifier cannot be changed from the current value, "posguide1". If you want to change your bundle identifier, you will need to create a new application in iTunes Connect'

ERROR ITMS-9000: "Invalid Code Signing entitlements. The entitlements in your app bundle signature do not match the ones in the provisioning profile. According to the provisioning profile, the bundle contacins a key that s not allowed

*ERROR ITMS-9000: "This bundle is invalid. New apps and app updates submitted to the istore must be built with Xcode 5 and iOS 7 SDK"

Please can anyone shed some light on this for me - I'm at my wits end.

has anyone managed to upload an app since 1 Feb 2014?

Hi all

I am trying to upload an app to the istore but keep getting the error:

*ERROR ITMS-9000: "This bundle is invalid. New apps and app updates submitted to the istore must be built with Xcode 5 and iOS 7 SDK"

I have changed 4 values in the info.plist as per Colin Holgate's suggestions (thanks Colin) to:

DTXcode - 0502

DTSDKBuild - 11B508

DTXcodeBuild - 5A3005

DTSDKName - iphoneos7.0

but unfortunately still get the same error...

Is there anything else that I can do from my side by tweaking anything else in the info.plist file or must I new wait for a Director update that addresses this issue.

Any and all help would be awesome!

I have no problem publishing my app for use on iPads but the minute I try publish for both iPad and iPhone then the troubles start. I have been searching for an answer for weeks now and am desperate for someone way smarter than me to come to the rescue.

Every time I upload the app I get this error message back "iPhone 5 Optimization Requirement - Your binary is not optimized for iPhone 5. New iPhone apps and app updates submitted targeting iOS 6 and above must support the 4-inch display on iPhone 5 and must include a launch image with the -568h size modifier immediately following the <basename> portion of the launch image's filename. Launch images must be PNG files and located at the top-level of your bundle, or provided within each .lproj folder if you localize your launch images. Learn more about iPhone 5 support and app launch images by reviewing the iOS Human Interface Guidelines and iOS App Programming Guide."

Trolling the net I found that I need to add dependent files to the app which I have now done

I have also inserted every form of the launch image in the Otto app as per screen grab

and lastly, I have edited the info.plist as follows;

in my movie I have added the following code to resize my movie, could this have anything to do with the issues i am having?

on prepareMovie

(the stage).rect = (the desktopRectList)[1]

(the stage).drawRect = (the desktopRectList)[1]

end

How do I know if Hotfix 2 is installed?

I clicked on Help>updates... and the application manager opens up. This tells me that there is a Hotfix 2 available which I "update"

It downloads, tells me to shut the program down and does a whole lot of things but when I restart Director it tells me that there is a Hotfix2 update available?? How do I know if the update was successful? I can only see Ver 12.0

please can someone help?

Does anyone here know how to publish an app that will work on the iphone 5?

Ideally I would like some guidance on how to publish an app that is compatible with both the ipad and the iphone

I have searched and searched and cannot find anything

My app now works beautifully on the ipad and client is chuffed as hell but they would like an iphone version

Apple sent me this notification email after i uploaded the file:

"Dear developer,

We have discovered one or more issues with your recent delivery for "xxxxxxxxx". To process your delivery, the following issues must be corrected:

desperately need help with _touches and gestures

I am trying to use _touches object and gestures but cannot seem to get it right. (I haven't delved with Director for years, literally)

Basically what I am trying to do is Jump to the next marker or jump to the previous marker if someone swipes their finger across the screen of an iOS device.

_touches.registerGesture([#swipeRightGesture:#handleSwipeRight])

on handleSwipeRight

go to next

end

If I copy and paste this script onto the sprite that i want the "touch gesture" enabled on - I get the error "handler definition expected"

I understand that the handler "On Handleswiperight" was created using _touches.registerGesture([#swipeRightGesture:#handleSwipeRight])

My question is - where or how do I put _touches.registerGesture([#swipeRightGesture:#handleSwipeRight]) in order to create the handler?

Please can someone walk me through this
